Garb Resources for Really Anyone

Postby DragoonAntoinette » Mon Mar 28, 2016 2:56 pm

So I wanted to share these two garb "classes" I have written. They can be used as resources for new fighters, for vet fighters, for people starting a realm, or people just looking for some ideas or where to find things like patters or places that sell garb.

Garb 101: Basic Garb for All
http://www.slideshare.net/AntoinetteFinnrsdottir/garb-101-basic-garb-for-all
This class is for people who are looking into their first set of garb, or looking to help people with that first set of garb. It contains image ideas for what is considered basic garb. It also has links to patterns for basic garb, and links to places you can purchase garb if that is your thing. It covers more human/pinky garb but does have a small monster garb section. It also had links to people to talk with if you are struggling with garb ideas.

Garb 102: So You Want to be Fancy Pants do You?
http://www.slideshare.net/AntoinetteFinnrsdottir/garb-102-so-you-want-to-be-fancy-pants-do-you
This class focuses more on feast garb, or night life garb. Garb that is fancier then your fighting garb, not that fighting garb can be fancy(see:Amyr). This class has many example photos of what might be considered feast/fancy garb and where/when you might wear that garb. It also has pattern links and links to shops if that is your thing. It covers historical era garb as well and fantasy garb ideas, human and monster garb both shown, however more to the side of human. It also had links to people to talk with if you are struggling with garb ideas.

If you have suggestions to add, or questions please send me a message here on the board or post on this thread. I am happy to help people with garb ideas, finding patterns, fabric, trim, ect.

Please stay turned for Garb 103: Accessories in the near future.

A lot of the links are broken, especially in the second slideshow.
