I'm sorry that I made a signature and now use it, but recently I've seen this influx of "HUGE" signatures, like 500px x 500 px.

I don't know if it'll help anything, but if everyone keeps getting these, it might slow down the boards.

I'm just wondering if there is anything we can do about that, because I have to scroll through these pictures to read the quality inside the post, it's kind of bothersome.

It's very annoying. You should probably change your's. There isn't anything I can really do other then turn off signatures or limit the number of characters.

I know, even mine is distracting, but it isn't like some out there.

I felt bad for posting this because I myself have a semi-large sig... I'll probably just add a quote or use a small picture.

Would it be possible to limit the pixel dimensions of one's sig, rather than the character limit? Another board I'm a member of does this (although I couldn't tell you how), and it seems to work pretty well. There, they have a 500 x 160 limit, in case it makes any difference. That board is a vbulletin type, so I don't know if it would work here with the phpBB, but I thought I'd mention it, just in case. After all, I could still upload a larger image (such as that 500 x 500 size mentioned), slap a couple of img tags to it, and the problem would still exist.
