Well, when I first joined, it was hard for me to naviagate, and learn the rules. I made this to help people. I stink at it, so someone help me? Anyone want admin? And redo the site better?

Well... no offense, but that's what this forum is for. There's already an established community of moderators, contributors and administrators.

Why set up another forum to do the exact same thing?

no offence taken but, this forum isnt very noob friendly, so i thought a site for purely new people to come and learn the basic things, before they come here and accidentally ruin theyre reputation by asking something that is common knowledge

So how are they going to get to your forum? Through the link on our forum?

No one gets a bad reputation from asking questions. People get a bad reputation for asking questions then ignoring the advice of whoever answers them or by making a bunch of posts that indicate they're socially clueless.

Despite what you might think from some interactions on the boards, very few people will pass lasting judgment on someone without meeting them in person.

I think the biggest thing that people do to make themselves not liked on the forums is not read some of the posts already here. Yeah it's great to have someone post, "hey I'm from X place and such are there any realms etc," but lets face it, most people think that the new members section is a introduction section when they first come here. Another thing they need to do is READ the announcement post in the new members section. If you want to have a better initial post, or maybe a guide that we could post on the front page saying, new people click here or something, than that would be productive. Otherwise like derian has said, it would be confusing to have to find a new board, then come over to this one etc.

Another problem with this, is that it's the vets who bring newbies up to speed so they STOP being newbies. A newbie going to other newbies for help (because vets aren't going to take the extra time to check a second forum) is just the blind leading the blind. Instead you should ignore the d-bags, learn to use search for things like "scythe" and "horses" and stick with the forum that has the support of the entire Belegarth community instead of just people who don't know what they're doing.
