Friends and foes question

Why can't I hate a moderator? I just really don't like this guy but I can't add him to my foe's list, because he is a moderator. Was this intentional? Why?

Because it wasn't designed with private forums like we have in mind. It was designed for the reasons that Soo mentioned, but doesn't take into account that you might want to ignore someone who's a moderator only for a forum you're not a member of.
