Medieval Arts And Sciences Forum and Garb

Postby Cib » Thu Feb 19, 2009 12:07 pm

There seems to be a lack of posts about Garb on the forum (though a recent hash of posts and how bad most garb is, and how no one posts about garb here), and to top it off, many of the posts about garb are posted in the wrong forums.

The Medieval Arts And Sciences is for garb and other stuff, but it is probebly the most-inactive forum on this board. I think we need a Garb forum, or to change the name from Medieval Arts And Sciences to something like Medieval Arts, Sciences and Garb.

I believe that even just having the word garb in big text will bring garb the front of peoples mind, making he thing about it more often. Resulting in people thinking about their own pitiful garb, more posts on the subject, and hopefully more people in better garb.

Nice :)

What kinda of garb info do we need atm? I know Dag has some decent garb tutorials up. Do we want something similar?

The hero Belegarth deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A Viking *.

Absolutely.

Having tutorials for basic pieces of garb would be nice. All we have now is 'go to a thrift store, buy a polo shirt and cut off the buttons' and variants.

TRUTH. Someone please cross-post (with full credits) all of the Tuts on the Dag boards. I'm working on a comprehensive sword cover tutorial in the near future and might do some garb stuff in the more distant future, myself.

I'm finishing up a tropical-weight worsted particolor Bocksten in the next few days and I'll make a bigass stankin' post about it, as well.
