Red shots on a spear

Postby Kiran » Tue Jun 21, 2005 10:18 am

Correct me if im wrong, Historically a flamberge ( giant red sowrd) Was used in front line combat to cut the tips of spears off.

My question is could we incorporate this into belegarth.

Something like two red shots to a spear would break it.

I know this would be hard espcially people picking up broken spears and things like that. I also know it would be hard to be clear on a red shot because its easier to move a spear then a red.

Im not askin this be taken into affect, I just believe this is a real aspect that we could find a way to incorporate into the game.

Thanks

FYI, I moved this to Rules Discussion and Development, as this is more a discussion subject than a question about current rules.

I think you are right about cutting spears down. But I also think it would indeed be very hard to incoporate, and I don't feel like thinking up a way, heh. If someone has one, I would totally try to play test it.

I think it would significantly lower the amont of people using a spear. They're already a wierd enough weapon to get used to, and adding another disadvantage to it just hinders it more.
Oh no. That's due today.
