I know this was brought up before but I'd like to bring it up again.
I think pole flails are an interesting addition to the field. There is historical precident for them, and it wouldn't be too hard to make up a set of rules reguarding them. An example:
Must be 5 feet in length or more
Must have haft padding covering at least half the shaft
Must have chain no longer that 6 in and a proper number of dingleberries
Must have a head of at least 1 foot in length
Pommel and flex rules the same as other polearms
Should these weapons be red? No. However, I believe they would be interesting weapons, no particularly effective, but a fun addition.
