Savetuba, please quote me a rule that says Javelins are the only weapons that can have a yellow cover.

Spears are the only weapons that cannot have a yellow cover so that they cant be confused with Javelins, which can only have a yellow cover.

huh. must be one of the many unwritten rules that no one uses, but everyone follows, like shield flex. Or I am mixing rules again, like the dagorhir rules.

However, for the sack of ease, don't put a yellow cover on a non missile weapon unless you want it to go flying.

The confusion is likely coming from the rule that says that you can't put yellow covers on spears:

1.4.3. Class 3 - All Class 3 Weapons must conform to the following:

1.4.3.3. May not have a yellow cover.

Dag; Get off my *. A non jav weapon with a yellow cover will most likely fail any check for safety.

Savetuba, there is no safety issue putting a yellow cover on a sword. A spear, yes, because that could easily be mistaken for a javelin; that's why there's a rule against it, but not a sword.

So I could make a 5' red sword with a single edge. Place a yellow cover on it and mark the back/flat/non-striking end with black tape. And possibly have is pass? Not likely.

It would easily pass.

Hellhammer has a very large presence in the Eastern realms, and their colors are black and gold. There are a number of members that use yellow/gold covers on weapons. I haven't ever seen or heard of a single one failing because of the weapon cover's color over many years and events.

savetuba- I am NOT even sure where you get half the stuff you come up with. It is way out there- WAY out there sometimes. Make your Red weapon- cover it yellow- bring it to Octoberfest- I will check it myself- and if it is safe by all standards- it will pass even with a yellow cover.

I can't determine if your a troll, a loophole lawyer, a newbie, or wearing a yellow helmet on the short bus.
