Everyone pretty much does it, when they get hit and take armor. How about making it a rule?

As much as I think it is the basis of a good idea, I believe it fails in execution. I don't think it would be practical to force a penalty on someone who doesn't call armor when being assaulted by a flurry of blows from multiple attackers. That isn't even counting the vets who either don't call it at all, or have their own convoluted system for calling shots.

and.....so what if they don't call armor when hit in the armor?

I've just always seen it as a courtesy of the person being hit to let the other person know, "You're shot was good, but it hit armor"....

I don't see any reason to make it an official rule.

Also, if you have any questions when you hit someone, the rules do state that you have to portray your wounds correctly, and I believe if someone asks about your armor you have to tell them anyways.......

So that when you wail on someone in full armor for 3 or 4 solid hits, if they don't say "Armor, armor, armor, armor" you'll KNOW they were just blowing off your hits instead of migrating them all to armor.
