Stab Tips at Chaos

I managed to day trip Chaos Wars on Saturday.

I was very surprised and am happy to report that my stabby tips passed with none of the bs encountered in the past IE: requiring crazy soft pillow tips.
I build my swords with a layer of marine foam on the tip and was able to spend the day yelling green. As I was watching the fighting I noticed what seemed to be an unprecedented amount of green being called. All with minimal whinning that stabs were painful of discomforting. There were a number of looks of surprise as the victim realized they just got punked by a single green.

HUZZAH! Thanks to everyone that has worked toward helping the west start getting up to speed with the east in this respect.

I am curious to hear the comments of other Chaos attendees on this topic.

I must say I am in agreement... I too used a simple bit of marine foam on a normal sword tip and had all three of my weps pass as green legal.

I about **** myself... after 14 years of trying (and failling miserably) to construct a safe and legal stab tip, I realized I finally succeeded. Now... I have to go watch all those stab training videos again so I can throw more than a crappy pocket stab.

Getting stabbed in the gut hard didn't feel any different to me than taking a good shot in the gut, FWIW.

Horray for stabby tips, no more pillows!! I too am glad to see things go this way for stabbing tips, it truely adds a dimension to the game that is not there without them.

Yup, we've been saying this is how things ought to be since the first time I came to a Bel Event.
Finnaly, every one seems to be on the same page.

I had a sword fail stabby at first, but i asked for it to be re-checked after I looked at it myself, and it passed, so that was good. Hopefully this kind of acceptance of current stabby tech will take place game wide.

Because Arnor's only been proving this is just safe for about 5 years now . . . congrats for being the first person I know to get all blue foam passed as stabby for real.
