Forkbeard: An unarmored torso requires one hit of damage to wound. An armored torso requires two hits of damage to wound. If I strike you in the torso with a blue weapon and then ask you your status, you should report that an additional hit of damage will wound your torso, while your undamaged armored arms, for example, will require two additional hits of damage to wound.

Better?

Not really.
This is all open to interpritation. I say my armor is damaged and I don't have to say **** because it is not an injury.
It is going to take differnt language in the BoW to make me see this differently.
The existing laguage is very clear to me.
I'll only play the way you guys want if some realm demands it at an event as a house rule. Mine does not.
Also, in a very real sense, when does this really hapen? I've been asked about my armor very rarely. And even then, the fight is over befoe the answer get's all the way out.
Why does anyone need this information. Just swing more. It's not like armor really gives me ore than 1 extra hit.

The only time I ever ask armor status is at the end of a battle when there's only me and one other guy left. Honestly, I never asked specifically about armor, just wound status and they offered up armor status as well. Maybe it's a holdover from my Dag. days when armor was injured, and could be healed and all that. I was just always told you had to report armor as well as wounds. Personally I don't really care and almost never ask like I said.

3.2.2.1. Class 1 (one-handed) Weapons cause one hit of Injury to a Target Area.
3.4.2. All Injury effects must be accurately portrayed and reported.

Well if you're wearing armor, and you've been hit with a blue, which does one point of INJURY, and then I ask what you're status is, you shouldn't probably report that you've received one point of INJURY, since that's the rules, pretty much exactly as their written. Now, you could try to spit out that you've taken one point of injury to that location and what not, or you can just say "left arm, right leg armor gone." because it's easier. But yah, Fork, sorry, they're right, the rules say you have to report the effects of one point of injury, that IS armor status.

I still say that is an interpritation.
I also say this doesn't really come up that often. Like I sadi at the begining, I think it is a way of stalling for time in a fight.
But lets take this to it's own thread if you guys really want to debate the issue. Things are getting off topic here.
