Arrows aren't the only thing that can be misconstructed, but I'd assume if you came in with a batch of identical swords it would make NO sense to ask the same thing?

Basically the only similarly life-threatening things you can * up royally in sword construction are easily detectable. Core made of metal? In the rules and should be incredibly obvious. That's... basically it. An arrow, on the other hand, is more deadly in general and is constructed straight from a deadly weapon in most cases. Am I being clear as to why I think there's a big difference?

Also, was I clear that I think that modulars and whatever else designs should be fine, too, at the discretion of the dissecting Weapons Check officer?

Yes, you are, but the idea of tearing apart one of my dozen arrows everytime I get them checked is, well, insane. If we don't require it of normal arrows, we shouldn't require it of any arrows.

Ahhh, I agree!

We should require it of all arrows.

Unless he's the one checking arrows that day, then he could be  If you saw it coming Jimmy, why'd you leave it open to evilrakis?

But yea, taking apart arrows is stupid, unless you're REALLY questioning the construction of the arrow batch. IE: they're more or less failing already (wobbly heads, they're twisting on the shaft, they're hitting too hard with a head bop, etc etc). And if they're failing already, the person who owns said arrows shouldn't object to having someone, who knows what they're doing, take at least one apart and help them understand WHY said arrows are failing. Maybe its just the age of the arrow or maybe it's construction methods.

Getting hit with a metal core would suck but getting hit with a fiberglass core would suck not too much less.

I think arrows made wrong are easily detectable too.
