Metric version of rules?

Postby Haardgrim » Fri Aug 23, 2013 12:50 pm

Soon from New Zealand and I were discussing getting metric measurements into the rules. I'd be happy to do the translation, and would like to get it into the official rules. Would it be better with a separate metric copy or just metric measurements in brackets after the Emperial ones?

I think just including them in brackets or otherwise denoting them in-line is fine. Separate rule sets don't make much sense.

Ok, I'm on it. Is there an editable form of the BoW somewhere?

There's one on the wiki at geddon.org, but I can't seem to find it right now. Anyone else have it handy?

Thank you; finally got around to adding metrics. I rounded it off slightly (largest error is for 2.5 inches which is 6.35 cm but I used 6.5, erring on the side of caution). For metal armor, the requirement is 20 gauge, which translates differently based on which material is being measured (!). I went with 1 mm based on the stainless steel rating (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheet_metal#Gauge).
