Aside from garb, all role-playing aspects are optional, and as such, everything is fair game. As a side note, whatever you choose to role-play does not confer any advantages or disadvantages. Combat is based on your personal, real life skill alone.

That said, have fun building your identity.

Also, a lot of monster races are already fairly defined as to how they act/what they wear/etc within Belegarth already. Look around on www.geddon.org and see what you can turn up.

You can be whatever you'd like. With that said, there comes a point when you just look stupid on the field. Belegarth has a culture that is pretty accepting of most personae. But even so, you need to be able to sell it. If you look good, you'll earn some respect. If your costume is ridiculous though, don't be surprised if you get a little ridicule.

Beyond that though, if you have your heart set on something, go for it. Just do it well.

Then you'd be a Chode. Not a lot of racial information on them, but they're hated and often thrown into ponds.

I think the definition for a Chode is a Penis that is wider than it is long.

Only a chode would attempt entering the field of honor with a paintball gun. Not only would said person be a chode and be thrown into a river, but upon exiting said river the chode may require surgical removal of the afore mentioned gun from their backside.
