I am actually helping someone else start a unit. I am not sure if it will be a ninja clan or not. We still haven't met yet to decide on anything. I am meeting with the other people starting the realm today.

The group has already decided on another theme for our realm. They already had a name for the realm too. It is Malkier, from the Wheel of Time series. I haven't heard of it though, so I will need to catch up on my reading.

I am still going to be a ninja though. I am going to go to a costume shop in the near future and look for a ninja costume. I am also going to make a couple of blue swords for my first weapons since I was good at florentine (for a newb) when we practiced today. Both swords will have black cloth covers to simulate the black-coated blades that ninja use.

Thanks for the ideas, TeeDge. I may choose from one of those names or go look online for the rest. I might also go look at what names ninjas and martial artists use in the movies. You'll know once I have decided, since I will be replacing my current forum name with the name I choose.

black = buraku or boraku...

I went by b(u/o)raku doragon as an alias on a game once, meant Black Dragon... grammar might be wrong...

yeah i remember doing a lot of that in spanish 1. sad thing is my mom is from peru and i should speak pretty good spanish since thats all she talks when she is with family.

I went onto a Japanese dictionary and put in "black cat" and it came up with "kuroneko." Is that accurate?

hello just somwthing that i know about japanese names, if you come across names with 'maru' on the end or within, then its most likely a samurai name yojimbo's mostly took it on theselves, i have no idea what it means but a yojimbo is a bodygoard essencially(if thats how you spell the word...) all samrai dreamed of becoming one of those, yojimbo's were also used in the service of high ranking officials. just some history on samurai

also on the maru names, some have it that way because with japanese samurai that were really honorable and lived their code with honor, many poeple today use maru to signify their heritage (im probably making this up but it makes sense to me) and many game and anime/manga characters use this cus it sounds cool and rolls off the tounge.
