i think i answered this in hate once along long time ago so let me answer in seriousness now.

one) most people who have tried to play elvish characters are jerks

two) monster: its characterazation, not that we ACTUALLY hate people who play elves but monster characters dislike elvish characters

three) whoever pointed out the homosexuality thing, i guess i kinda am the one who lit that bandwagon on fire a while back so let me say this for the most part almost everyone i have ever met in belegarth has no problem with gays, its just that the stereotype names for homosexuals in the real world dont just mean the act anymore they have come to stand (in somes eyes) as terms of weakness. so again i apologize for those long ago quotes about elves and homosexuals.

four) if you play an elf despite all i have just said i lol at you upon the boards and laugh in your face in real life. monsters ftw

History lesson: Pinky now referres any non-monster race. Pinky originally referred only to Elves, on account of their pink skin, and it were the Orcs of the Severed Ear who placed this term upon them. Wez had other names for other races, such as Stumpys for dwarves or Kleep Trag'nan for Humans. Orc are racist because we are the best. Troll come in close, but that be it.

I think Elves are awesome if you can get the right people to play them, and in many different Ideals/stories elves are considered very skilled fighters. I have met some fellow elves that aren't the greatest of people, but you can't really make fun of Role Playing caracters such as Black Cat. I'm on your side Black Cat.

Orcs and other feral races have to act stronger or more intimidating than there human player is. This is in the realm of possible. They pull it off, after all.

An elven character, however, has to act more GRACEFUL than his human player really is. Much less possible. Really just makes you look like you love the penis.

To take this further, all joking aside:

Grace is not a masculine trait, Strength is. In all seriousness Legolas is a perfect example. Grace? Feminine. Long hair? Feminine. Pale skin? Feminine. Light weight? Feminine.

You see it all the time in anime, they just perpetuate it, that's why I hate it. The only thing big on the girls in their boobs (trust me, not the part I have a problem with.). While the men, especially villans (horde much?) are all 8 feet tall and built like a mac truck. You can make yourself look tougher. You can't make yourself look like you can walk on snow. You can just grab some pointy ears and a dainty attitude.

So, I'm going to go ahead and just suggest that you pull that crap before he gets a chance to respond.

One: You do not call someone out on public boards over stupid crap. That's a pretty serious thing to do, and it shouldn't happen lightly.

Two: He's called Big Jimmy for a reason. Unless you're built much differently than your character, you have made a poor judgment call. I would correct it, were I you.

Three: Just because you're still new at this, doesn't mean you have to act like it. Jimmy made a funny comment, to illustrate a point. That's kind of what he does.

If you are as small as your character, I wouldn't cross Big Jimmy if I were you.

I would call out Jimmy like you did myself, but, quite frankly, I want to be able to get good with a redsword or another aggressive melee style first. (sword-and-board and variants, florentine and its variants, great-mace/warhammer, polesword/poleaxe, ect.) Just as a fair warning, I suggest that you do the same before calling anyone out like that again.

But, as everyone has said, yes, elves are graceful and whatnot. Even strong, I guess, if you want to deceive yourself or are playing old school wood elves in 3rd ed Forgotten Realms or something.... but you're not. You're a dude, probably kinda nerdy, maybe a little over weight, I'd say that's your typical belegarth fighter.

People that play horde races, they aren't ball breakers that can swing tree trunks in real life or in Belegarth, and they know that. They do what they can to represent their race with what they have available. You should do the same, have at it. But being an elf in Belegarth is kinda like buying a sports car with a V6. You're going out of your way to be a *.

As for not like homosexuals, you've come to the wrong place. Belegarth as a whole is exstremly excepting of EVERYONE, with the exception of elves and child molesters.... and the incredibly socially akward, which usually means they fall into one of the two previous groups. Biggetry is not tolerated in any sense of the term.

Kinmen, you have never fought with a realm or anyone from a realm, at least not in Iowa. I know this because I am from iowa and I make it my business to know who fights, where, and when.

Also this is not a place for descriminatiion. If you don't like gay people that is your business and you should keep it yours. We hit each other with sticks, we dress up in funny cloths, we are not in a position to not like people because of what they do.

In Character:
You are an elf. At one time Nan Belegorn was filled this these weak pink creatures. When I arived Eyrtk was the only monster, Now there are no pink things left. We crushed or corupted them. Eriador is the monster wasteland, Blood Vally is the stronghold of northern Horde. Those few pink things that remain have adapted to do our will. Some lone elf in the northern edges of our domain will not survive.

Ork, Ogre, horse, and Cat people all work in soup.

Whoa Whoa Whoa You Considered that a call out I was just acting in my DM Caracter. I haven't even been to a real realm battle as Mekoot Gorlock stated It wouldn't be bad to fight another person in a battle.
Sure I'll fight him as soon as I find out what he looks like and if he fights in nearby realm. I would not preferr everyone gathering around and yelling fight fight fight, but yes I was offended by some things that were said about elves. I will fight anyone if it is just for fun.....
I'll stay away from Outhro Yuokker he sounds like he wants to eat my remains afterword.

All other things aside, the persona doesnt matter. You can be an elf, we dont mind, but we will talk alot about eating you and how your pale skin makes the best covers for throw pillows in our den.

You can be a rock monster, and we will rag you about that too. Doesnt matter what you are, as long as you fight.

I am a goblin and I am called filthy plus many other things about lack of inteligence but crafty.

I scavange, trade, roll around in dirt and mud, as I drag the dead and almost dead to the fire for cooking. If you were at octoberfest, i was the one walking around with a cowbell. Every few hours I would be chanting "Bring out your dead"
I fit the character, I play it well.
Common enemy of goblin is literature, elves, dwarves, themselves, anything that is living, anything that is dead, and even the fork that is a self inflicting stab in the shoulder.

At feast we are all the same, and on the field we are the same.
Unless you are a vegetarian and on the field you are trampeled by HellHammer as they chant "Kill Maim Destroy"
