Persona help

Postby Thanatos » Sat Aug 09, 2008 9:07 pm

hi,

iI really just wanna know how good personas are mad. i haven't been able to decide one. i was thinking a celtic kind of mountian warroir like from braveheart.

In real life i'm short and lean. in battle i'm efficiant because of martial arts training, and my firey celtic attitude, i roar, massicre and then chase my enemies down and kill them when they run, no mercy. i haven't any weapons of my own but i was thinking mace, or sword, or florentine.

any suggestings.

for RPG's i'm usually a japanesesque character named Xian

Well, you should probably do some research. This may entail reading a book or two about celtic warriors. Or you could go to Wikipedia and see what some random high school student with a bad attitude and a flair for prose has to say on the subject.

Failing that, you may want to just wear a kilt and start making **** up. Watch Braveheart a few more times and pretend it's a historical document (except that it's about Scots and not specifically Celts). I've also heard people say that Rob Roy movie was pretty good, though that's getting up to the age of gunpowder.

In closing, kilt it up, jerkin, blue face paint, yell really loud.

Also, don't be undead.

You got something against the undead?

Yes.

Also, just because you're in Australia and not here to see this first hand, not everyone has a persona. A good chunk (probably majority) of the sport are called "stick jocks" and don't have much beyond a fighting name. You could just wear a kilt and such and say your a celt, you don't NEED a back story or anything.

For example, I'm Big Jimmy, I'm here to swing stick. That's about it.

Because I'd rather see this become a sport than stay a game.

Look, my point was to debate MY stick jock status, just trying to allow someone who doesn't live state side to all perspectives.

Thats the thing. It IS a game....remove the game side and the stick jocks have alot less friends. Id sooner this not be a "sport", because it trancends that * people watch on tv. Sport=alot of * and little playing...Belegarth=alot of playing and minimum *. Stick jocks are ok....but its that little extra that makes us unique.

I'm sorry, I thought fighting with safe weaponry made us pretty unique.

i dont mean to further hi-jak this thread but i agree with big jimmy, we are one of the only FULL CONTACT boffer sports. we dont hold back thats what makes us uniqe, persona's just make it more fun. i mean we don't put emphasis on persona's because we don't role play (mainly), WE DONT LARP, we fight. our fighting lives arent based on level. only skill, and persona's are only good if your good and people know it. that a name, and a costume is all we are.
yes please... :target:

you can also be a stick jock and have a persona. im graavish fomerly of the horde i like to play games such as ring around the posy, climb the jungle gym, and also hide-and go-eat-your-immediate-family.

that being said when i actually pick up my weapons im not a bugbear anymore im a dude with a foam stick and a shield and im im doing my damnested to rock your face til you fall down. then later that night when the night life kicks in thats when you see the graavish.

i personally consider persona's more a nightlife/ social interaction thing and having nothing to do with the foam combat aspect of it.

The idea of sumo wrestling came to mind, but it would be more fun with Mongolian wrestling to watch.
