I'm into the witchcraft and alchemy business myself. Potion bottles, herbs & spices, cauldrons, crystal balls, magical jewelry, colored candles, books (including spell books), flying broomsticks, that sort of thing.

I'm thinking about putting a curse on the mafia, but until I find out who the mafia members are, my incantations cannot be properly targeted. Of course I could just be bluffing, but I do sell stuff that can make the life of any mafia member a living hell.

I would suspect Giggles of mafia involvement, but he just votes for me because he hates me and wants rid of me. That is a very spiteful move, but it isn't a clear indication of his involvement in the mafia. He would certainly be helping the mafia out if he starts a bandwagon with his nasty ways though. I am going to have to abstain for now, but I am not making it an official vote in case something very fishy comes up before the day is through.

Well can we assume if Spike replaces Juicer then Juicers role = Spikes role? If that's the case I am still thinking Juicer was Mafia due to the long lapse between Night and Day. Hmm... the plot thickens.

I'm sure that your main customers are travelers whom wish to get past the Knights who say Ni.

Gorlock has a motive for being the Mafia. This is all a bid to get re-elected president!

So here's the deal: Hatchet and Giggles seem to know each other. That means either a) They're both Masons, or b) They're both Mafia. I say we just pick one of them. If the corpse turns up to be a Mason, then we'll know the other is good. If it turns up Mafia, then again we can pretty safely say the same thing about the other. Both scenarios are good for us. I mean, so what if we kill a Mason? It'd be no different than lynching a random townie, only this way we gain some certainty about his compatriot. And if they are mafia, then it's like getting two birds with one stone.

Of course there's always the possibility of c) they're just super gay for each other, but I have my doubts (about Giggles, anyway. Though he could just be selfish).

In any event, I say we pick one. In fact, I'm going to change my mind to Hatchet, because if they are Masons then I want Giggles around for his newly developed speech impediment.

Ok Batman riddle me this.

That means either a) They're both Masons, or b) They're both Mafia.

IF me and giggles where Mafia why would we defend each other when a Mafia WILL kill a townie and the percentage a actual mafia will be lynched is very very low in the beginning? I defend giggles, because I doubt he is mafia. If anything he is the INSANE OLD vigilante with the fake eye ball and Alzheimers . If we where Masons why would I openly defend him when being a mason?

If you kill me it is only a loss to the Townies and a Gain to the mafia. If you kill Giggles it is either a MAJOR loss in that he is the old codger with a shotgun or he is a mafia.

Oisin wrote:Still night, deadline extended until late tomorrow night (11 January) b/c of some misunderstandings on the part of the Mafia.

I suspect one of two things about this statement:

1)You are Mafia because you KNEW why it took so long, but decided to cast blame on someone you know to be innocent to get that extra kill.

This theory supports the Mafia half of Zwei's suspicion. I have also been suspicious of Giggles since his first post, and Zwei has helped confirm it. I believe that after Oisin announced that Dagganoth had a "speech impediment", Giggles took that as a cue to cover his tracks with a quirk of his own. It is highly unlikely that Oisin would make more than one quirk like that to prevent the game from being overly silly, or that he would pick such an obvious one. Giggles is a very crafty (that being said with the highest form of respect I can give) individual, and I wouldn't dream of putting it past him.

2)You just happen to skim over vital points people put in the game.

This theory shows that you are a poor player, and your willingness to lynch someone without any semi-concrete facts deserves a lynching to prevent any untimely deaths at the hands of the townies.

I, however, will not vote for either Giggles or Hatchet until someone else can give me another point as to why they should be lynched. Once is an occurance, twice is a coincidence, three times is a path. Someone give me my third reason or strike the other two down without a doubt.

PS- I'm a plain old townie, and a phenomenal one at that.

Once is an occurance, twice is a coincidence, three times is enemy action.

Fixed

I suspect one of two things about this statement:

1)You are Mafia because you KNEW why it took so long..This theory supports the Mafia half of Zwei's suspicion.

Or I could have half a brain and infer that, because it was previously stated Juicer was for all intents and purposes AWOL and the deadline was extended numerous times. Had Oisin come out and said "Deadline extended, because they where taking too long." then we would have known Juicer was mafia and killed him.

any semi-concrete facts deserves a lynching to prevent any untimely deaths at the hands of the townies.

Polska, Big Jimmy, Gorlock, and Me voted for Juicer without any reason besides he was effectively AWOL from the game

Giggles voted Blackcat, because he didn't like him.

Todo voted me due to posting too fast.

Zwei Voted Giggles, because of his awesome speech impediment

Your gonna have to get a better reason then no concrete evidence unless you are saying everyone is mafia.

Alright, I'll just head one point at a time to prevent confusion. I'll stop coming at you until I defend myself and clear my good name.

Does anyone honestly think Oisin would allow the game to start without all the special roles having checked in? The Townie numbers were already inflated to be at an advantage, so that's probably why he let Juicer's absence slide. That would mean that Juicer was a regular old Townie with no special abilities. Ergo, I am a regular old Townie with no special abilities.

Now can we continue on and use our lynch votes a little more wisely?

I think that spike is right about olsin not starting the game until all of the special roles were accounted for.

Vote: Hatchet Warrior

Zwei is right, and giggles is at least entertaining me. we need to find out one way or the other if they are mafia or masons, and the best way is to drop one.

What I don't understand is why try to point out that giggles could have a mor eimportant roll unless you are really worried.

I am really worried that a) he is a vigilante and hanging him would be really bad or b) he is mafia and hanging him is really good or C) he is a townie and hanging him is really mediocre.

So hanging him at this point would be really bad. Hanging ME on the other hand is only really mediocre, me being a townie and really bad, because hanging me only proves I was a townie with good reasoning skills

olsin not starting the game until all of the special roles were accounted for.

Oisin said : I have contacted Juicer.
This game is starting with Night 1, not Day 1, so there is no voting yet.

It seems to be either Juicer was A) Mafia B) Cop C) Vigilante D) Mason or E) Medic since all of these guys have night moves.

*shrug*

I have made my case throw me to the gallows if you will.

Day 1: Vote Count 1

Hatchet Warrior--5 (Todo, Zwei ap Owen, Elebrim, Mekoot Gorlock, Giggles)
Spike (Replacing Juicer)--3 (Hatchet Warrior, Big Jimmy, Polska89)

Not Voting--5 (Outhro Youkker, Horati, Teh Guts, Black Cat, Spike)

Clarifications

There is no such thing as voting to abstain. That just means that you aren't voting right now. If you wish to vote to end the day with no lynch, then please do that instead.

I would also like to clarify that the delay of Day 1 had nothing to do with Juicer's role. This does not imply that he is either Mafia or Town, just that his role was not an issue.

The delay was caused by a misunderstanding of the rules on the part of a single member of the Mafia that caused some confusion. Not a big deal, but nothing to do with Juicer.

So yes, you can now surmise that there are more than one and less than four members of the Mafia who are not Juicer/Spike. Congratulations.

You need semi-justifiable paranoia, Spike? If Giggles and Hatchet are in cahoots, then Giggles' vote might just be a last ditch effort to stave off suspicion and save him.

And you know, even if we pick wrong, I can't help but thinking that lynching a juggalo is still sort of a victory for us all.

Juggalos are Extroverts. They attack others, Maggots are introverts... they cut themselves.

Maggots are bugs that eat dead flesh, they're still used in rare cases of modern medicine :)

Plus they can be tasty
might need some garlic or fry them up with onions

"Boot still with foot."
"That is disgusting!"

Day 1: Final Vote Count

Hatchet Warrior--11 (Todo, Zwei ap Owen, Elebrim, Mekoot Gorlock, Giggles Horati, Black Cat, Hatchet Warrior, Polska89, Outhro Youkker, Big Jimmy)

Not Voting--2 (Teh Guts, Spike)

With 13 alive, it's 7 to lynch

*, that's one hell of a bandwagon. Note, for future reference, that the seventh vote was the damning one, after which the lynch could not be undone, and everything after that (including his own suicide vote) was just extra fluff.

Results

You haul Hatchet Warrior off to the gallows, string him up, and watch as he dances . . . and then, he doesn't any more.

When you return to his house and search his belongings, you find there to be nothing out of place.

Hatchet Warrior, Townie, has been lynched

It is now Night 1. Night actions to me by 1:30 Central Time on Monday, please.

Polska seems fishy to me. He's just a little too under the radar.

I don't think we have to worry about Polska. He was doing whatever Hatchet did. Jumping on the bandwagon is stupid, but not criminal.

Also, I honestly don't think we have to worry about Guts. He's so under the radar that I haven't seen him post anything at all.

Does anyone have any good reasons to vote for someone? Or does anyone have someone they don't want in the game anymore, because it's like shooting in the dark right now (until the cop comes up with somthing).

Are we going to believe the cop when we hear him, though?
