Raceology?

Well, I'm somewhat bored and I guess I'm gonna start some craziness in here. But who knows?
Alright first off, the term (yes term) "neko." Japanese for cat...no even worse DOMESTICATED cat. Not to mention it's closely associated with anime (it makes me sick most times). Personally having this tag placed on "catfolk" (a better generalization) like me is kind of insulting (although some find it cute). I mean, does whiskers the kitten sound like it belongs on the battle grounds? I don't think so. You can start you're rant thing now.

Second, how many orcs does it take to trample a camp? *badum crish* Not gonna lie though...orcs are awesome. Randomness!

Moving on, shape-shifters. Doesn't have to be just wolves. Hollywood ruins it sometimes. I love the native american approach to the mythology.

Back to the cats. I was originally gonna be a "were-tiger" but that just slowly evolved into being called a "neko." For satan's sake...I hate that word. It's just that bad I couldn't associate God or Jesus with it. Anyway, how many people use a different term or come up with a different term?

To spare everyone from boredom...I'll shut up now.

If you hate it so much, why don't you try something other than neko?

Ok, heres the thing...I don't hate "neko" I hate the term "neko." The term, aka the word. I swear it's most of the ranting going on. That's why I always put "neko" in quotation marks because it's a somewhat misleading term. Hmm...maybe not so misleading but more because it's associated with the Jap-craze (sad part is I'm 1/4 jap) animes of the sort.

Use something a bit less effeminate, like Tora

Wow I'm tired...last post before heading to bed. I thought you said something about feminine and did a triple take.
But yeah, Tora. That'd work for me specifically. I like it. But is there a better general term than neko (quotes got annoying).

A gnome walks up to dwarf to ask for help reaching something. The dwarf urinates on him.
A dwarf walks up to a human and asks for another beer. The human knees him in the chest.
A human walks up to an orc thinking he's the boss. Orc smash pinky.
An orc walks up to a gnome to punt him. The gnome lands near a dwarf.

("What comes around goes around?" or "Never ending violence") Random. I invite you to make your own version.

If you don't like Neko, we can call you a furry, it's much more commonplace terminology.

Dude, I think you need to slow down. First of all stop thinking that the belegarth community more inclined to be accepting of your differences just because we all have one thing in common. This isn't an anime convention. (I know your type, I used to be deep into that community.)

And like the real world, most people will laugh you off for being a furry/were-anything, especially if they are in groups or have a sense of anonymity, like on this forum. I'm a lycan, and while a lot of people will poke fun at me, I just don't give a **** what they think, and I fight hard.

I guess what im trying to say is that, if you wanna be a weretiger, do it. Just don't make an * of yourself, like Crispin and fight seriously.

Tails...with all due respect. I really was just making a random rant. It's what I do. In my realm and with my unit I get a lot of laughs with being called kitty and all..It's really funny sometimes. (Fangesta taunts me with catnip and a flail head X3). And about the being sick with anime is seeing the crazy highschool girls that try. I'm not gonna lie Bleach, Naruto, and Cowboy Bebop are some of my favorites.
Plus I tend to be an * on forums when I'm tired/bored.

As for the gnome thing...lol.

Yeah tails that's Racism. :axed: Shame on you.

Nekka, I would keep this confined to the roleplay board if I were you. It should be fairly safe here, most of the trolls don't come here since the talk is often so ridiculous that it's not worth bothering with.

Also, avoid talking about it with anyone in person as you're likely to be mocked openly and often.

Even though the evidence is lacking, I'm going to go ahead and hold onto a shred of hope that you grow into a marginally intelligent person in the next few years and stop wasting your time worrying about what to call your fake cat character.

Good Luck.

This thread makes me think that it is. Luckily, that only makes it exponentially more hilarious.

The best part about the other thread is when tails calls Guts a "defective right-handed Jesus" there were people peeking over my cube walls to see if I were really dying.

Wow...does no one remember the first paragraph...
I started THIS thread because I was bored and felt like throwing some random race based entertainment out there. Really I don't care enough to bring this up in person. But on the interweb, it's ok to be an *. So go ahead and bash away.

This is all for fun...at least half of all threads on all forums are a bunch of bs.

hey there are a select few people on the second thread mentioned who are actaully giving decent advice and helping to give it structure (i'm one of em) not perpetuate the cycle of "this is a **** idea cuase the * doing it are idiots" so please keep the other thread and my name out of it. its not a bad idea. with that said people make mistakes, but if you want to, then bash away. just no point for a fire fight. nekka wants to make an incoherant rant so be it, thats what the nets for.

but nekka you do need to calm down a bit, not being mean but seriously.. and read your entry a couple tymes before you post em. your not makeing much sense to anybody.

and still, the gnome coment... and the juicer is satan one
**** gold.

Yeah, I suppose so . . . post edited.

But seriously . . . furries on the field make us, as a group, look bad. That's not sarcasm as the previous post probably was, but my honestly held conviction. Furry costume != garb.

Yeah...about that. Furry costumes would be horrible to fight in. I'd only go as far as a tail or something. That's if I ever get bored enough to get one. Hell I don't even use paints. I'm not much for the aesthetics of character acting.

"I'm a furry but I'm dressing normally" isn't something that I'd encourage or support, but I suppose it doesn't do any harm . . . besides, what people call themselves in the little roleplay corner of their head is basically irrelevant to everyone else.

Agreed. It's more of an event downtime kind of thing. On the field everyone's the same. Weapon in hand, enemies to kill.
I don't get that little "I'm a furry but I'm dressing normally" part. How is it not something you would encourage or support? I'm lost really...something's not clicking right.

If you going to be a goblin: paint your face green or get a mask.
If you are going to be a cat person: Please leave all your pets off the field.
We dont want a goblin eating Fluffums in mid combat.

How about make a helmet that has the shape of the animal you want to be?
It will look like themed armor instead of you face painting and us making fun when mid day come along and your face fur makeup is melting.

I suggest not a whole cat shaped helmet, just the head.
A tiger head helmet, awesome
HelloKitty head helmet, not awesome.

I've been meaning to make some armor anyway. Thanks for that. Just need to find enough leather XP. I know my realm/unit leader knows where to get some.
But yeah. Thats funny. Goblin eating Fluffums on the field. The HelloKitty helmet would be funny to see even if it would mark yourself as the first kill target. Not that I'd waste any material on it, but could you imagine.

Warlord, I like you, so instead of being a bag of * I'm going to give you a few Bel Board Netiquette rules.

1.) Contribute when you post.
2.) Check the last post date in a thread before posting yourself.
3.) Don't be a turd. We don't like turds.
4.) Lurk.
5.) Use proper grammar and punctuation. Something about a three year old and a crayon.

You haven't broken all these rules with your post, however remember every single one of them and enjoy your stay on the forums.

Everyone else, feel free to add to the rules.
