If you haven't already, join the HoaRdE WiN!!!! user group. There's a wealth of information on all monsters there. You don't have to be Horde to join.
A lot of monster lore is best gotten first hand-- roll with some bugbears next time you spot some at an event.

the bug bear arm is not exclusively the sword arm. the bug bear covers his arm in reverence to the great god marjak, god of blood and battle. when a new born bugbear first open his eyes the only the that he sees is the grim visage of marjak, if the infant makes a sound upon this vision of his god he is torn asunder and never granted a soul. if he remains quit the great god marjak touchs him upon his sacred arm, saying that this is marjak's arm and will always be used with marjak's will.the arm is the covered and none but the bugbear who bears the mark and the hidewalker of his tribe may view it. so the choice of which arm is covered is entirely up to you. most cover they're sword arm but it is not exclusive.
since vokor and i quit being bugbears and nanga and narlagg retired the only true bugbear left from the time of bugbear might would ne zi'gor. if you can make it out to an event hes at he can show you what it is to be bugbear, or if you can find me at one i can discuss lore with you. i'm a stick jock now so i don't do character but i developed upon alot of the lore for bugbears with the orginal lore being created by nanga who is retired now.

Well, naming is probably the easiest part. If you're going for a more traditional bugbear name, they're almost always two syllables with an apostrophe in between. Examples would be: Vo'kor, To'gur, Zi'gor, Wo'gak, U'mok, etc. Pretty much, you pick your first letter and go from there. Since your boards name is Noik, I'd stick with "n". Also, they tend to use long vowel sounds, which is why so many are "oh" or "ah". And then you just play with the sounds. Literally, just sound out random harsh combinations and see what you like. Or, if you want to get away from the traditional, it's still usually good to pick something with a lot of hard consonants. Gnarlagg and Graavish are decent examples. Alternatively, just change how you say the name you have now. I don't know how you pronounce it (given that I've never met you), but maybe it would be easiest to just start saying it as "No'ik". That's bugbear-ish at least. And if you've already read the Wiki, there's not a lot I can tell you in terms of garb. Start with an earth-colored tunic and pants and just add to it. Use patches, rips, layers, warbraids, bloodstains, fur, runes, whatever. Just keep it within the greens and neutrals. Maybe a little red or orange here and there, but not too much. Purely chaotic colors belong to goblyns, bugbears be tah practical fer dat. Dey jus' want ta kill, not much care 'bout wat dey be wearin', uther den dee sleeve. NEVER forget dee sleeve. Seriously. You are not a bugbear without a bugbear sleeve. Oh, and hats. Well, most bugbears I've ever known just used bandanas or a simple swath of cloth. Doesn't have to fancy as long as your head is covered.

Is armor enough of a sleeve or should I do more than that?
And warbraids are made how exactly? I've never seen them close up enough to really tell.
And you checked me into troll at 'fest haha.

I would say armor is enough of a sleeve, but when you dont want to have armor garb sleeve is a must. Go onto youtube and serch how to braid hair, then do the same thing with three strips of fabric, warning they are addicting. I will have to get some pics up of my garb I'm super happy with it.

Eh...I'd at least wear something under the armor, just for when you take it off. Again, it doesn't even have to be a special sleeve, you could just wear a long-sleeved tunic in general. I have a couple myself and occasionally the odd person will peg me as a bugbear just by my garb. Not when I'm green mind you, most people know better than that at least. Haha, for warbraids you've definitely come to the right Goblyn. It's really easy. Just cut out three strips of fabric maybe 1-inch wide and all about the same length. It also helps if they're all a similar type of fabric, but that's not required. You might just have one stretching more than the others. Anyway, what I always do is even them out on one end and seal it. Some people do a quick knot, I often use duct tape. Whatever, as long as the strips aren't gonna move on you. If you're looking for a tighter braid, the end needs to be held down. Again, I just duct tape it to a table or wherever I'm working. And then boom! You start braiding. Always cross over the middle strip and keep them pulled taut. Honestly, you can probably find an easy guide on that better than I can explain it here. Oh I did! I forgot about that, sorry.

Another question on warbraids...
Any colors that should really be avoided?
I was gonna do like black and dark green maybe some browns.

You're a monster, colors are not ment to be avoided. Those colors would mix really well for war braids.

Personaly, I made a bunch and tied them to the strap on my bag. So I don't have them on my garb. There a a bunch of ways to put them on garb though. One way I thought was cool, is a guy took the three colors he wanted, got three pieces of fabric in those colors (3ft by 1 1/2ft) sewed them together on all but one edge, then put a belt loop on it like a big sash. Then he cut at the bottom of it at every inch and a half, tore up to the belt loop line and braided it. That way all he had to do to have his war braids on was tie that sash'ish thing around him. Hope that helps.
edit: I'm going to go get some fabric right now and do a step by step pic tutorial for this.
