Help

Postby Polar » Wed Dec 21, 2011 11:28 am

This my seem like a dumb question but is there any kind of race list that I'm not aware of or can one simply say I'm whatever I want cause I cant seem to find any such list.
I dont like to post much but when I do I post on the Belegarth forums.

If *cough* Galya *cough* will add you to the Horde Win! subforum, there's info on all kinds of monster races. In general, you want to aim for something that you can realistically pull off. If you go on the field as a dragon, people will be expecting to see dragonish things in your garb, equipment, warpaint, etc.

If it is a humanoid monster race in D&D or LotR, it's a pretty safe bet that there's at least one in Belegarth.

I'm a nekomata in nekomimi ("human" with cat-ears and a forked cat tail) form, aka. "androgynous" Japanese "cat-thing", and I don't see them in any of the RPG video games I have ever played. I highly doubt any LARP system around has any definitions for such a creature. Doesn't stop me from playing as one; I just have my work cut out for me trying to find decent references to base my garb and general appearance off of.

Though seriously, just play as what you want as long as it fits into a medieval fantasy and/or ancient history setting.

Races are not defined in Belegarth because they provide no in-game advantages or modifiers. As long as your garb is good, fits into our general theme, and represents what you are playing as, it doesn't matter what you play the game as. If you want to play as a dragon or half-dragon person, go ahead and do it. Just be prepared to work toward making your garb look the part.

Also, Polar, you're in Rhun. Talk to Salamander. She can provide more worthwhile information than the boards can.

Ya I know it has no function in the fights but they have almost a characteristic to go with the race kinda like a stereotype for example goblins known for their "logic"

Ya salamander said there was somewhere I could find info on the races but this was like a week after I started fighting with them so I guess I should talk to her again but anyway thank you for your input it helps.
