I know there are plenty of fighters in our games who stylize themselves as Norse, so I'd like to ask what sort of activities you do when the mood to fara í víking strikes?

Do you set up an alþing? Sit around and re-tell the sagas? Fight duels or stage glima competitions? How about food, ale, and music - any of that going on?

I'll invite our fellow northern European brethren into the discussion as well, so if you portray an Anglo Saxon, a Celt, or any other member of a similar culture, please chime in with stories, tips, advice, for kindling the fires of RP during the interim between practices and events.

I've picked up several audio books on the norse and celtic myths from http://www.librivox.org as well as several songs fromhttp://www.odins-gift.com/mp3/heathensongbook.htm . Working graveyard I can immerse myself in old stories for hours to pass the time. Singing (or screaming?) viking songs with Sketch and Hammaren Is a good way too.
