Shield bash

I'm not sure you can do this for safety reasons but its been done to me anyway. A shield bash that goes upward under your chin to snap your head back and knock you off your feet. Normally shield bashes go straight forward, and that type of attack might even break your neck if there is enough force.

Whenever I shield bash, I try to bash both forward and up. Same as any football player will. Goal is to make you lose your balance, and if I can lift you off your feet to accomplish it, all the better.

Now, as far as catching someone under the chin, I've never had that happen, and would feel really bad if it did. But it's legal.

you can bash the face or the head

but if the bash hits you then goes upward then it's legal

also if someone is taller than you they can sorta legal bash you to the head because if your head comes up to their shoulder then the can punch and bash from shoulder height and on down

however i'm not sure about coming up under the chin like an upper cut that sound kinda painful and dangerous especially with a strap. look up in the BoW for the exact rule cause i'm to lazy

There was an extensive thread on this a few months back. I recall the consensus was that although shield checks and bashes to the head and face happen on occasion, deliberately AIMING for the head/face is highly uncool and potentially dangerous. Thus, most folks seemed to feel that it should never be done intentionally--though some folks were cool with doing it intentionally (I'm in the don't do on purpose and try not to do it accidentally camp".

yeah i think i like that camp, hooking under the chin is way too risky

Ya, the guy almost killed me. Hooked under my chin and went straight up. My neck was sore for a week....

let me correct what i posted above i left out a 't i was sayinbg you can't intention bash heads with a shield but if they are shorter than you by quite a bit then it's legal cause it's coming from your shoulder height

like there is a guy in horde who's 5'4 i bash him in the head all the time because no matter what he is at that level but no i don't think you can basically upper cut someone with a shield
