That would be assuming that 2005 was even the first Sam Hain, which it isn't. Your guess is close, though.

The first Sam Hain I ever attended was in 2006, which was number 3. I even still have the event token to prove it, which is a skull-shaped token with "S3" imprinted on it. That most likely means that the first Sam Hain ever held happened in 2004.

If 2004 = 1 and 2006 = 3, then that means 2011 should equal 8.

I would like more details about this event since I have never been to a Sam Hain event (and debating on going)... how much does it cost... how many people typically attend? Are there tourneys? What type of facilities does the camping area provide (showers, flushable toilets)?

I don't have an entire schedule up yet but here are some details:

Cost: $15

Feast is of course going to be fried chicken. You're welcome Valas!

There aren't going to be any tourneys, because we have one solid full day of fighting and I hate wasting time on tourneys.

We have a scenario battle involving boats and islands which will awesome and will probably play CTF with dual bridges.

We have invited a couple of other groups to join us and numbers could reach near 100 if everyone who isn't at Okfest comes here. Which you should be doing anyway.

More information to come within the week or so.

I apologize to Sipris for not fully answering her question. The site that we use has porta johns that we primarily use. It also has some fantastic heat swimming and hot springs on site. There are showers and flushable toliets in that area.

Hey folks. The weather look to be great for the event. It will be a little cold at night, but we should stay dry. That being said, everyone SHOULD be prepared to be rained on a little. Make you bed inside your tent in a place that will stay dry. Bring extra tarps. Lets camp like the pro's we are.
The battle are planed, the chicken cooker have been put on stand by.
Several people will be attending to try Bel for the first time. If any of you have any loaner weapons, please bring them. We may need them.

Like Fork said it will be a little cold at night. We are okay for fires, but as always with this site, they must be in the pits that are on the grounds already. We are bringing up wood for everyone to use, but if you want to bring more then that's fine too.

Remember that if you bring it though you have to take it with you.

What is the fee for day-tripping on Saturday?
