I was just wondering what the imformation was on the octoberfest because we have a group thats wanting to go but we dont have any imformation on it or location ETC.... the link leads to an error so if some one could reply on the imformation or have the link fixed so that we have time to fix the traveling bussiness we need to get done before the event thank you

I found the information and posted it up on the events page of the Ulfur Greni website if you want to take a look. There are links to the Numenor website and to mapquest with the address of the park it will be hosted at.

If anyone needs directions to that location just click on the "directions to" link on mapquest and enter your individual location/address/meet up spot and it should provide directions for you. If that's not enough, I posted the phone number to the park for talking to a live person.

Ok that is cool. just a bit confused. the mapquest puts it at a different place then the address. is it in town or south east 6 miles.

Mapquest did the same thing for me. And Google earth was waaaay off. I remember where Forest Glen is, and I think I might have found it on the map. But I'd like to give directions to other people, so I need something more definate.

Otherwise I just know to;

Turn East at the CVS in Westville. (Left if you are coming from Danville.) Follow the curving country highway (I think there might be 4 turns ?) until you see the sign for Forest Glen County Preserve. Turn Left into the park. There are a few pictures here;

Octoberfest 2004

Follow signs to the Group Campground. The road is curvy, and there are side roads that are confusing at first. Make a right turn here. Follow that road untill you see the battlefield.

Anyone care to elaborate ?

No problem Kadlin. I don't know how on Earth I found it my first time. I drove around in circles inside that park. It's worse at night. Last year Soth and I drove around in circles again. And he's a local.

Moran, I guess you misunderstood me. I'll elaborate. If you're driving South on HW 150 from Danville, you would turn left in Westville. It's County HW 5, and there is a CVS at that corner.

what 'events' will be going on? How many fights/battles per day? actiivities after fights?
Will there be a fresh hot coffee point each morning? that is the most important QUESTION

one, i can answer one or two of those questions. One event is the haybail village. Also there really is no set amount of fights. Just until people stop fighting. then there are usualy still pick up scirmishes.

Hi guys. This is coming from memory, so bear with me. I'm fairly certain I'm right, because it matches up with what Cryn says.

Almost certainly, you will be coming from Danville, south on route 150. When you hit the town of Westville (Heading south), on your left hand side, you should see a place that is called Gross Burger.

Keep following the road you are on until you see a CVS on the left hand side. The street intersection should be called "Main". Turn left onto Main here. Follow this winding road for a pretty good distance. On your left hand side, you should see the sign Cryn has graciously posted. Turn left there.

Follow the road, going SLOWLY (else you will get yelled at). Follow the signs towards group campground. If you hit a gravel road while following the signs, you should be very near the event. Follow this gravel road through quite a few turns, going SLOWLY. Eventually you should come to troll.

I'll see about putting up a sign or two in the park, since I think there is at least one turn which is not marked for group campgrounds.
