Camp site has running water, bathrooms, and a fairly large feild. Pre reg will be open by the end of the week. Feast will be on Saturday evening.

3 more weeks. Only event in the warm non-snow climate. I know there are people out there who want to fight but can't because of snow and the cold weather. (lovly 74+ degrees today and a cool near 50s night.) Compare that to the cool weather in salt lake city (46,36) or any other place further north.

You can count on two more Andor fighters making it. Orion and I will be making it as well. Now that we are driving out we might be able to encourage a couple other people as well.

How many people do you have lined up so far?

pre reged- 7 that I know of, I've yet to check the mail.

I'm counting at least 10 or so from my realm if I can get drivers.
2-8 from black canyon (Agagni)
5-20 from the pheonix dag group (Fugl Brenna)
0-15 from the amtgaurd realms
0-5 from the role play groups in the area (mostly noobs to fighting)
(I know there are over 80 fighters in AZ so how many are going to come is in the air)

Others that will come out of state around 20 or so. (had someone from kansas show interest)

Worst case we have 20 people, best case we have over 60 people.

There will be a NO BURN in effect unless we get some rain soon. And the feild is kind of rocky. Bringing some kind of knee support would be helpful.

No need to worry about temps though. If it stays sunney expect uper 70s and 80s to low 50s and 40s. No worse than yester-year in april

If I remember I'll also be bringing a crossbow and catapult for people to try out and get use to. (mostly off feild use)

Directions:
Mapquest and yahoo maps are very accurate. I couldn't write better if I tried.

Oh...and the $5 car fee should be a one time park entrance fee.

Can you tell me the name of the closest town with a hotel? We're travelling with Brinka, so we likely won't camp.

I also have a possible 3 minors coming with us. I am having them obtain notarized medical releases from their parents. Do they need to have a waiver notarized in advance and if so can you please email me a copy at xooyan@yahoo.com so I can have them do that before Friday?

IM puten a Call to any Fighters goin to the Phx battle who know hwo to play the Bagpipes to being them i was gonna get a guy to come and play but i lost his Damnable Number. Also Drumers are welcome be sure to have old style Drums tho.

the feast is going to be different. Instead of mimking a king's feast I'm going for a peasant feast. (We are a millitia after all, with no kight or lord among us

)

So I'm going to have it be simple, but elegant for a middle class peasant.

(To eat like a king one had to pay like a king)

SAVETUBA!!!!! I am so * that I have been busy these past few months. I only learned about this now. I have other commitments this weekend and have not extra change to spare (spent all of it on testout software). I hope that everything goest well for you at this event! It sounds awsome and I need to get more beating in, but alas I have other responsibilities this year. PM me for the one next winter, as well I will check these boards next winter now that there are two Western winter event >:(

Any last minute questions please call my cell at 1 928-593-0670. The planed theme is going to be water. Boat battles, bridge battles, river battles, and other water related battles.

Weather is going to be fine with a good chance of rain sunday afternoon, but most people will be gone by then.

Hahahaha... yeah Orion got home and mentioned that not one of our guys took photos. Andor had a good time though. The guys are looking forward to it again next year. Maybe we can talk about having a small event over here; kind of a Battle of the Beaches concept. I'll work on it.
