Well, I hope to come to Melcorme as everyone in wolfpack says it's freakin' awesome; I hadn't even heard about it until Krikit mentioned something the other night.

I'm currently trying to decide between Melcorme and Dur Demarion Opener; I'd love to go to both, but because of my job, it'd be hard for me to get a bunch of fridays off in a row. So, hope to see people at one of the two events.

Very different events, Digoza.

Melcaorme is an event with all that entails, tourneys, feasts, camping, bardic tourney etc. As far as I know DD Opener is a crash at someones house and fight the next day event. DD Opener will be bigger and there is that thing fighting at the halftime show. Guess it depends what you are in the mood for. But I can garauntee you will have a blast if you come to Mel.

Yeah.. The DD opener is more a weekend long party involving drunk people performing stripper tricks on poles (definitely NC-17 rating here..)installed in Vokor's house along with 175-250 people fighting on National TV during the halftime show of an arena football game (mostly likely the biggest venue in foam fighting history!!!) and then party some wake up all go fight all day again at the park.. Leave the park to party some more and then drive home exhausted and hungover...

Hmm... sounds like most events =).

Mel I hear rocks so try to make both but DD's opener and more importantly the halftime show needs as many fighters as we can get. We may never have a chance to showcase / recruit for the sport like this again.

seriously though, you cant lose going to either of these events. If you can make both I would seriously try. Your only young enough and without extreme responsibilities only for so long in your life.

Remember Mel is probably one of the most relaxing events you will go to. You don't have to do a thing. And you won't be asked to at all. You come fight during the day, in a very relaxed way, and at night every one gathers around 1 fire and chills. We feed you and you have no worrys.

So, is it Friday arrival/set up camps, fight/feast/etc. saturday, and go home Sunday? Or is there stuff on Friday as well?

I'm requestin' the friday off pretty soon and I'm going to have to figure out when I'm leavin' to head out your way; assuming I can either get a ride or talk my mom into lettin' me borrow her car since my **** won't make it.

Friday is pretty much all about setting up stuff and *'n around. Alot of us are still going to school in the area and have classes so we begin later in the afternoon. Feast is on Saturday as well as the main fighting.

Probably no earlier than 2:00 ish. Most people will arrive around 5:30-6:00 though.

feast will be the standard stew that we serve.

On sunday there will be somthing hosted by xipher and lilly in the way of a wedding reception for fighting friends that came to mel because we are to expencive to invite to the wedding.

Come chill. Forget your worrys with a relaxed atmosphere over the entire event that is usually only found in your own camp. There is ONE place people go and that is a very chilling calm yet fun main fire.
