spring war is coming up!!! ...crap.

alright. so springwars is coming up and im busy getting the fixins for a shield and getting money together for gas, admission, camping/food supplies, etc...

because of that the shield might not be ready in time, i have no armor except some bracers that are 2/16" think instead of the minimum 3/16" so ill wear them but not count them as armor.

so. in your honest opinions. having no armor, being a little rusty on my fighting skills cause no one around me likes foam swords, and never being to an event before......

i guess id just like to see what everyone thinks of the no armor situation and what they expect. personally im afraid of not having a shield cause there will be archers and javelins gallore, right?

don't worry about not having armor. many many many people do not.

don't even worry about not having a shield. if you have two swords, you can use the two of them and skirmish, if not, you can usually pick up javelins to throw back at people.

and if you have friends, you can borrow stuff.


if nothing else, come find me... and if i think you're a nice enough guy, i should have some stuff you can borrow. but we'd actually have to get to know each other a little.


DEFINITELY come to springwar. things'll work themselves out.

and i too will have gear (weapons/ shields) that you can borrow

i can almost promise you that you will have an awesome time at springwars

Dude, come out to springwar, its going to be awesome. You will be fine if you don't have armor. As far as being rusty, just get some pick up fighting while your there or use a couple of battles to warm up. As far as archers go, I am a lefty-foo red fighter so I definately feel you pain as far as being defenseless from archers. Look me up at Wolfpack Camp.
