Numenor is pleased to once again host Octoberfest this year, Oct 4-8. Octoberfest is Belegarth's largest annual event so don't forget to ask off work! The event will be held in Forest Glen park near Danville, IL. More details to come later.

Edit by Kegg... Camping will open at noon on Wednesday. Fighting (mostly town fighting and tournaments) starts on Thursday. Large field battles Friday and Saturday.

The events keep changing from the traditional weekends this year!

I had already requested off what has been the weekend for OctFest....only to learn it is now being held the weekend BEFORE I requested off!

Why the changes?

Arkin, actually at my job they DO plan that far ahead! I originally requested the Octfest weekend back in January 2006. We have to schedule most of our dates at the beginning of each year..

Has pre-reg opened yet? And how are campsites handed out? I've attended Okfest before, but always camped with someone else. This year, a good portion of my unit is planning on coming, so we need to figure out how things work.

Let it be known to all that those committing theft, vandalism (including pulling down tents), threats, real fighting, risk to the event (showers), or other similar actions will be dealt with extremely harshly. Those caught will be made into examples, and their punishment shall be disproportionate to their action. Further, their actions will be openly published to other Belegarth event coordinators, who have the option of banning you for your previous actions at Octoberfest. We encourage them to also make examples of you.

Let this post serve as notice that such actions will not be tolerated. Tell your friends. Tell anyone you think might get in trouble. This is their warning. Respect other people, respect the belongings of other people, and respect Belegarth. Those thinking the best we can do is slap you on the wrist had better think again. The law does not stop at an event, and we will not hesitate to involve local police if warranted.

This should not have been an issue, and it will no longer be an issue. You have been warned. Do not try us.

I was told that pre-reg was gona be for $15, but im not sure thats in stone thow, I dont know the date either.

That date here says 5-8, but the website for Octoberfest, says 3-7th, is that because it is last years or what?

The dates are actually the October 4th (Wednesday) until October 8th (Sunday). Camping opens at noon on Wednesday. Closes at noon on Sunday (you should have left the park unless you are helping us pick up, then you can stay until we leave).

Fighting starts bright and early on Thursday.

I have a question. We have two people for sure that are coming from our realm. The two of us are both 20, but our realm does not have college near us so a lot of members are under 18. I know that they have to be 16 to fight at event, but do they need anything other than the waiver signed by their parents?

I didn't see anything on the webpage for information about chaperones or the requirements of being a chaperone. Feel free to pm if it's easier that way.

The chaperones usualy have to be over the age of 21. and the waiver needs to be notorized.

Youu have to get the waiver sighned by the parent in front of a notery public (they are at most banks) and have them stamp the waiver. And make sure you all bring your IDs.

I am coming down with my wife and need a place to stay. What camp sights are open for us to use. We have a realm affiliation but are 2 hours away from the realm and thay do not have a camp sight.

How old must the chaperone be?

go into your paypal. Whatever amount you are sending in for pre-reg, put that in the amount. Where it says sender email, put numenor@edhellen.com. Then where it says include message, put fighting names, mundane names and then realm. I believe that is all.
