This year, there WILL be video footage of The Gauntlet. I will bring a fairly decent quality video camera and tripod. We just need to find a bystander intelligent enough to follow simple directions and not **** it up for us.

This event made my year; great fighting, great event grounds, great feast, great people, great administration (site and event coordination) -- true Southern hospitality; rather Wintersnight or Winter War next year... looking forward to the next one.

Absolutely HATED to leave at 4 pm Saturday in the middle of a brutal Gauntlet, but had a great time with everyone and can't wait to see you all at the next event!

I would like to thank everyone that came out to the event and make it a good one. Our total number for the event was 84, but there was some good, yet tough fighting out there. I believe a good time was had by most! I want to thank Dragon Hills and their staff for help us out at the event, and I want to thank the cadre of folks that stepped up to help out. Druss was our head herald/weaponschecker this year and I believe he did an outstanding job! The Gauntlet was pretty brutal and narrow this year, maybe a little too narrow..lol.

The winners of the tournaments:
Single blue - I don't remember but I will find out and post it.
Dagger - Aegis of the Cu Sith - and won a dagger
Red - Aegis of the Cu Sith
Sword and Board - Addison of Templar (TDK)
Archery - Dustin??? I believe from the Lowlands.
Assassins - I don't remember but I will find out and post it. Now, some of the merchants surprised us with a samurai sword to give to the winner of the Assassins tournament.

HA! How fitting is it that I'm remembered for my beer mug? And no, it does NOT hold two gallons. That's ridiculous. Remember, when I bought it I eyeballed it and said it would hold about 18 beers? Well, I filled it yesterday afternoon and 18 beers reached to the bottom of the rim, with a creamy head foaming juuuust over the top.
