The basic idea is pick ups and goof around on friday. Saturday is scenarios after pick ups that focus heavily on gauntlet type combat that has options for flankers and runners. Sorta.

I'm also going to be helping Druss out a lot with Hearlding and everything at this event.

That on top of being BAM's personal "*" as second voice. And the "training" that Sir Bazil will have for me as well.

Unfortunately, I ran into a slight problem. I started at Hobby Lobby, and my Fridays are completely full, and I doubt I could get that Friday off, since I have just started. Thus, chances are I won't be able to go. Needless to say, this does not exactly make me happy, but thats how things go sometimes. Still expect three from New Dawn though.

Now, now...we all know that RL comes before this game. I would not want to jeopardize someone's lively hood over a game. The best I can advise Luinmir to just approach your new employer and simply state you had something planned but forgot to mention it during the interview. You can always ask, but don't get your hopes up.

Thanks for the advice, both good and...well...while effective not exactly appealing. However, there is a bit of good news on this topic. While my chances of being there on Friday might be less than great, there's a very good possibility that I'll be there on Saturday. My younger sister has a Cross Country Meet that weekend in Carrilton, which, based on the map, is not far at all from the Event. Thus, I might be able to arrange something in that regard if I end up being unable to come Friday.

Dude- you TOTALLY must be there Saturday! That's when we fight The Gauntlet. Simply put, the most exhausting, brutal, in-your-face scenario in the medieval fighting universe. You can't miss it.

Fire pits are the only spot where fires can be built unless otherwise told. Also, if you have a fire extinguisher please bring it!

I talked to my both my co-managers today. One was perfectly willing to let me take that Friday off. The other was also quite agreeable about it, and he's the one that makes the final decision regarding scheduling. Thus, I believe I shall be there to fight under the banner of New Dawn. I'm very eager, and in fact, I'm going to be working overtime on my new equipment. After using Broc's fiberglass core blues for a while when he came to practice with us, in my off hand and still decently well, I decided to make my own, to a few might be made this sunday. Also, should get a side of Leather from Tandy's soon to make into some armor!

Here is the fighting schedule for the Event:

Friday- Herald's Meeting 9:00 am
Weapons Check 10:00 am
First Field Battles- 11:00 am
Fields will consist of 'pick ups' such as cutthroat, capture the flag, stack the
boxes, legendary shields, and unit battles. Other pick ups may be added to give
a little spice.
Lunch- 1:00 pm
Woods Battles- 2:00 pm
Night Fighting- Pit fighting in barn. No glaives, no missiles. Pit fighting
will be rotational small teams. If barn is unavailable, field battles. No
glaives, no missiles. Two respawn points, fight as you see fit.

Saturday- Herald's Meeting 9:00 am
Weapons Check 10:00 am
First Field Battles- 11:00 am
Fields will consist of pick ups, again. However, terrain on the field may be
altered. After pickups end, Scenario Battles will begin.
Lunch- 1:00(ish) pm.
Scenario's Continue
Night Fighting- Rinse and repeat.

So, I'm figuring out how much I should bring, absolute minimum. Hopefully I'm not missing anything:

$23 entry
$10 for drink w/mug
$30 for food

This comes out to $63. Am I forgetting anything or neglecting anything for minimum?

That sounds about right to me. I'll prolly spend a bit more on food than that, but I'm a bigger guy than you. You should be just fine by that math though.

Remember, for the $23 you get a HUGE feast Sat. night, so you probably won't spend $30 on food for the weekend. I never have.
