I may have got the message wrong, but it was my understanding that Southern Marches is placing emphasis on Wintersnight now and is no longer doing Winter War to avoid scheduling conflict with Ides of March (Dagorhir).

There may, however, be a day event at the time when Winter War would normally be scheduled. This was discussed at Winter's Night. If you want some more information, contact Bam or Broc, and I'm sure they'd be glad to help explain further.

This is correct. We have moved Winter Wars to the Wintersnight slot in first weekend in November. The Ides of March event has reached premier event status, and without the support of the Belegarth folks coming to Winter Wars it makes no sense to keep competing. Our numbers actually fell last year, and will probably loss more this year.
