Registration is noon until 1:30 pm. Tournament begins at 1:45
To raise clothes for the needy before a cold winter sets in.
8 new or slightly used articles of clothing: (eight new pairs of socks, for example).
How it is run:
Teams will register in groups of five. There will be a two-man tourney, three-man tourney, five-man tourney, and a single man tourney. Trophies will be awarded for the top finishers in the tourneys. (Special note: any team winning more events than any other will take home a special trophy and prize pack).
Weapons rules:
Standard boffer rules: foam 2.5 inches around, opaque covers, pommels protected, no metal or wooden shafts.
Tourney rules:
The two man-team and the three-man team compete separately. They rejoin for the five-man tourney. No cross event players except for the five-man event.
Single tournament will follow the five-man event. If there is a team tie, another death round consisting of a single five-man tourney will occur.
Any weapons combo may be used in the two and three-man tournaments, but during the five-man event, no two team members may use the same weapons pairing. (Long and short, short and shield, Florentine shorts, etc). No physical attacks (shield kicks or grappling) and no shield bashing (shield PRESS is allowed).
There will be eight referees, and their decisions are final.
Event rules:
No alcohol, no drugs, nudity, or physical fighting. Any violation is cause for immediate ejection and loss of the event for your team.
There will be a small food stand at the event. Each player will be served a hot dog, bowl of chili, bag of chips, and a bottle of water, compliments of the event. Belt favors will be handed out at registration. These MUST be kept and visible in order to participate. Each is unique to your team and event, and will be checked at the beginning of each match. No switching: this is grounds for immediate disqualification.

We hope to see you all there and fighting for a good cause. All clothes will be donated to St. Patrick’s Homeless Assistance Program.
