Highland Games of the Quad Cities - September 18, 2010

Beornve runs a Belegarth field at this event. It is our largest recruiting event of the year. Edhellen is usually present, as well as lots of other vendors.

The day is ended with a Celidh that usually runs till midnight.

Crash space is available. Contact either Telanar or Ursyne.

FYI for those who do not know a Celidh (pronounced kalee) is a big party basically.

Lots of food, music, beer, booze and dancing and merriment as only the Celts can do.

If this is anything like the Highland Games held in the Rockford and Milwaukee areas they are great fun!

Telanar has been telling me that Beornve's been working hard to have more loaner gear available for curious crowds than ever before. From what he tells me, there are always lines of people all day long waiting for a turn to get their hands on swords and join in the fray. I'm really looking forward to getting in on this.

The Celtic Games aren't just a Bel thing- it's a cultural festival and we're a facet of it. According to the website, other competitions include:
