Addendum to the Feast menu:

I will be providing a vegan friendly soup (recipe in the cooking thread) so that any of the hippie folk can still get a full belly in lieu of bbq smoked chicken.

It is my twist on "Spice Soup" from Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth novels.

There's no chicken base in it, just salt, and it does have dried hot peppers in it for some zing. I'm quite sure you'll enjoy it especially if it gets chilly at night. I'll be reserving first bowls for those who are not eating meat. After they get fed, I'll open the 3 gal stock pot for everyone else to have.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow! Drive safe.

We have sent messengers over the Gorge, and in reply, we have received their heads back on javelin points.

The King has assembled a Force, and we are marching to the North.

It shall be W.O.R.!!!!

A War. A War like no other, A Battle in Wet, cold, red, blood soaked Mud. Where the dead rise from the field at night and gather about the hearth to drown themselves in Ale. And the next day, they fight again. It is W.O.R.!!!

I would just like to thank all the members of ATD for putting on a great event, despite the many setbacks that came their way...Forkbeard's witch failed us all :P. I was glad to have seen old and new faces alike, and I much appreciated how accommodating the members of ATD were, especially Isk and TC, great job guys! The tourney was loads of fun as well! Didn't get to stay for feast due to sickness, but I want to hear how delicious it was! Good job folks, I look forward to next year!

I also would like to follow Darth's notion and thank the ATD guys for running an awesome event. Even though we had to change location immediately after unpacking it was for the better, the new site was wonderful. I am a bit disappointed in myself for not fighting Saturday, but that's my own * fault for not relaxing when I let Nash throw my * on the ground Friday night. Either way, wearing a yellow I could tell everybody was having a lot of fun. Great event guys.

P.S. I DEMAND PICTURES NAU!!!!

When heralding you should have a digital Video cam so you can do instant replay's!

The guys at ATD had a lot to deal with getting this Event off and running and then keeping it going with the sudden changes, the weather, etc. They are a good group and pulled it all off and we had some great fun. I enjoyed fighting with all of you. Glad to see all who came and Kudos to you guys from ATD for your hard work. I had to leave before feast, with jeep trouble, but you know, I'll be back to reclaim that BBQ chicken dinner, someday! :armor3:

Had a great time as well guys, Mad props to ADT for how they handled the sudden wrench to the plans. Helping everyone that had already set up get shuttled to the new camp was huge undertaking, Hell they even moved the portajohns by themselves without any spillage!

Had a great time even with the rain.

Big thank you to ATD for putting on a great event, couple of minor setbacks but the biggest was Fork's witch, i DEMAND she be burned!

HUGE thank you to Fitz. I got your present after you took off, those will be put to good use my friend, really wasn't expecting that.

Moon and I had a ton of fun, long drive, but it was a blast for us. Loved seeing all those friendly faces again, and was awesome to meet some new people.

See you guys soon!

Thank you for kind words everyone. All of our local boys had a fabulous time as well and I am grateful to all of you who made the trip and pitched in with the heralding, moving location and weapons checking. We had a turn-out of approximately 77 for the event and not a bad apple among them. Except Loptr, of course. All of the fighting was great fun and I am really glad we did the night fighting Friday.

I'd love to hear, either here or in PM your three favorite things we did and three things you'd like to see done differently.

Looking forward to even more fun with all you folks next year.

Done Differently:
-Better Directions
-Weather Control
-Better Directions :P

Favorite Things:
-Very reasonable weapons check
-Event coordinators that had time for the little guy
-Badass event tokens

Thanks for the event dudes. Had a good time chatting it up with all the folks down there and slugging it out for what little fighting I did. I'd have fought more but my ankle wasn't treating me too well after burning all my steam in the 4 man. I'll help you guys herald/weapon check any time, though. Watching the zombie/turncoat matches was a good laugh. The feast was yummmmmmmmmmmy. I'm not a fan of the site though. Granted, I may be passing judgment on account of the weather, but I don't see myself making a repeat trip down unless it's hosted anywhere but that location.

PS: Karion, I owe you an arrowshaft :o Carbon fiber or other?

Oh dude, don't even worry about it. Part of being an archer is you safely expect you are gonna lose arrows. I have a bunch more that I just need to re-fletch and re-do the tips on. Don't sweat it, arrows break, just part of the sport. Thanks tough.

The desert is a place of purification.

HOORAY cross gaming. Bel/Dag/Amt in a blender of Bel rules was a **** load of fun. Thank you for calling light on my random * shots!

Isk and co. I truly do enjoy hanging out with your happy shiney attitudes. You make travel in Feb a total blast. Weather blows but what can you do?

My faves:
1. Seeing peeps use and safetly enjoy the lit ditch field.
2. Hot catered food. The caterers should have had trash bags in their truck, that was a fail on their part. Who caters meals and doesnt provide trash control? *.
3. Great **** attitudes.
4. Awards for best garb!
5. Archer tower bonfires.

Improvements:
1. Communication on changes. Its a * to have to relocate, signage at the old site might have helped. Great idea here- Maybe an off site person to call as a point of contact if directions get broken/changed.
2. Map Directions. A few unenlightened peeps read the first turn Right at exit 2 and did just that heading North instead of South. Instruction #1 turning off of a freeway should never be turn left/right unless it clearly states ,if your coming from the east turn LEFT and from the west turn RIGHT.
3. Trash control. Trash bags and recpticals are a big plus. Nobody has an excuse for leaving trash laying around, police your ****. Some dedicated cans/barrels/whatevers would have helped wtih this.
4. A giant assed biosphere wheather control dome. Make is so SluffaLuffaISK

I intend on coming next year.

On this front I think a mulligan is warranted. They had some repetitive **** luck securing a site. Locating one on the fly close at hand was a stroke of luck.
The site itself was reasonably decent with a central fighting spot not full of angry rocks.

There was some really good garb, and some really well-garbed units. The ATD realm council selected Fugl Brenna's legionnaires for being extremely cohesive and awesome, which just goes to show that armor is some of the best garb.

They had my vote. Matching armor is/was freaking awesome.

Thanks ATD peeps! Always a blast to come down and swing some heavy stick with y'all!

Likes-
-night fighting ftw
-creative fight setups by the heralds( zombies, round circle duck duck goose fighting, etc)
-giant fire when we needed it the most
-good friends and attitudes despite poor conditions

Improvement-
most of mine have been said already, dedicated trash bins and directions Neer the top. But I had a blast! And thesewere only minor issues in comparison to thee time had.

All in all awesome time. Keep it up sluffaluffaiskTiberius, and ATD!

My only suggestion is this;

I am not sure about anyone else, but Moon and I both got food poisoning, and we are pretty sure it was from feast. Moon wasn't feeling too hot after feast and I can't say my digestive tract was all that happy either. Shortly after we got home, we both proceeded to spend the next 24 hours hovering near the porcelain throne. I would suggest doing feast yourselves next year. Sure catering is great but there is nothing wrong with doing a home cooked meal from your fellow belegrim.

I am sorry to hear that, Karion and Os. Perhaps we'll go back to our Indian food theme for next year. That was a big hit last year and can be prepared well in advance and just warmed up at the site.

I think a Mulligan is warranted also. I wish I could have made it down! I would have this year, but wife having a baby won out. I hope to see Isk and the gang at Yestare.

ISK had a great time and the event. It was a pretty good first event for my newest wench Lotus Flower. Got her hooked even though the weather sucked. You guys did a great job at heralding and keeping things lively. Hope you guys will remember Aqualonia when you do zombie battles again ;). There were some minor setbacks but these are my comments on the whole situation

Likes:
-Great fighting (never thought i would ever face a trio of zombie trojans :eyes:)
-Great spot. (the spot had very nice ground when damp)
-Great people. (not at any moment did I not feel at home and Lotus Flower enjoyed it too.)

Dislikes:
-Feast was very poorly done. (Lotus Flower was going to eat her chicken only to discover that it was almost raw! Food poisoning no spank you.)
-Bad Directions. (There was a total breakdown in communication on the changing of the spot half of Aqualonia almost said **** it.)
-No magical protective bubble from the elements. (this i was thoroughly disappointed in I mean come on ISK you could've hired a witch proper instead of using Forkbeard's :fingers:)

All in all was amazing and you will definitely see Crow and Lotus Flower back next year.
