There is, unfortunately, limited parking on the park property. You will most likely need to park on the street, but that's not a huge deal.


When: July 9th, 2011

What: This is a free day event, being hosted by Sword Coast.
Battle games, line fighting, tournaments, etc.

There will be event tokens available for $5 donation.

Rules: We will be following the unmodified Book of War. This does include the Garb Requirements.

Schedule (modified as necessary):

0900: Weapon Check starts
0930/1000: Battle games. We've got some castle/CTF/Hero mix battles that I think you're going to like.
1300: Lunch break called!
1330/1345: Alpha and Omega Tournament begins
1400: Fight! Realm, unit, line, ditch battles.
1600: Champion Tournament begins!
1700: Finish out the Highlander Tournament (if applicable).
End of day )1900 or so: Awards given.

There will be fighting will run from the time you get your weapons out of check til dusk (7:-8:pm-ish), minus the lunch break.

A limited supply of bottled water will be available.

Rest rooms and water fountain are available in the park.

There will be some crash space available on a first-come-first served basis for those that are coming from some distance.

It should be great fun with awesome people. I am working on dragging people from Fresno out to fight with us.

I'll be attending if i have the $ for the drive. Hopefully i'll be able to!

It's not 100% official yet, but I'm estimating that we'll start weapons check around 9-9:30.

Lunch will probably be around 1-2.

Fighting has to be done by dusk.

For those that don't feel like driving there is a train that heads up this way. PM me if you want a lift from the train, I am sure that I can handle that. Just a note, at 30 some odd bucks a ticket or so, with more than 1 person it is cheaper to drive. Unless, maybe, you drive hummer or a semi....

But i also have to take 2 friends to San Deigo for Idol Auditions.. THEN we will be there and fighting haha. Im looking forward to this!

You do realize that san diego is about 3.5 hours away from ventura.

Yes, Trust me i know this... But We figured since were heading up that way anyways for the event, go a few days up eariler and knock out two birds with one stone... Although i am not driving that all together willingly

Yea she is. It just happenes that idol weekend lands on Sword Coast Event weekend also. I'm going to BOSC 100% tho.

**** EPIC. This event was a testament to the fact that CA Belegarth is growing at unprecedented rates.

Myself and my fighters had an amazing time. Weapons check was run smoothly and fairly, even when I arrived there late (cool story, bro). Save the realm battles, the battles were unique and somewhat complex, but incredibly fun. They are definitely battles that should be brought back again and again, though I'm sure your imaginative minds will come up with some that are even better. Again, lunch was delicious, the event tokens were very pretty, and the people were good. Thank you for all your efforts, especially Talon, Susan, Reverend, Randall, and Taly. You guys are the *. I only wish I could have arrived more ready to help. Can't wait for next year.

Needz moar pics so I can talk the boss into a southern cali vacation so I can hit this up. BTW how far from LAX or Bob hope? We have friends the wife could visit - that will sweeten the deal.

LA is about an hour from the Ventura park. I believe its about an hour south to hit up Irvine.

This event was wonderful. I was so happy to see everyone! Great job to all who worked hard on the scenario battles, barrier construction, food prep, weapon's check, and heralding. I hope we do it again and that some of you make it back for my wedding event. THANK YOU Sword Coast for hosting!!!

It was an amazing day. Was alot of fun talking to everyone. Meeting new people is ALWAYS a huge bonus. The Capture games were amazingly fun. Long rez Battles are always a favorite.

Hope next year is just as great or better! Thanks Sword Coast for hosting!

This was a very awesome event and I'm really glad I could get down to it. It was run well and Talon, you were awesome with any concerns we had and you made everyone feel really welcome at the event. The tournaments were a blast, and though the battles were interesting, they were fun to fight as well. Thank you for hosting this event!
