Fool's Raid 2012, April 28th & 29th. Barad'Dun (Las Vegas)

The powers that control Fool's Raid have chosen the Dag Realm of Barad'Dun (Las Vegas, NV) as the target of this year's raid.

It is an invitation to all who wish, and we welcome crossgaming, so come out and fight with us. We do not charge any fees, we do not provide a feast, and you must find your own accommodations if you wish to stay the two days.

We will post directions to the park we have chosen. We will post all nearby eateries, stores (Wally worlds) and the nearest hotels, motels and campgrounds, with phone numbers or Website URL's so you can make your plans and accommodations.

We invite one and all, and we fear none. We will fight you all and include you in two days of as much fighting as you can stand. We will keep things simple and keep things moving. As soon as we have all the above information for you, we will post it so stay tuned.

DIRECTIONS TO LONE MOUNTAIN PARK, HOME OF FOOL’S RAID 2012:

FROM S. CALIFORNIA:

Coming North along I-15 into Las Vegas, Turn onto I-215 heading West (Left).

Follow I-215 as it makes the circle around the Western part of town. Look for the “Lone Mountain Road” exit. Turn off on the Lone Mountain exit heading East (Right)

Coming East down Lone Mountain road, look for “Jensen st.” This will be the second street from the 215. Turn South (right) on jensen. The park will be a few blocks down on the West (right) side of the street. Park in the middle where the large pavilion area is. There are plenty of tables under the pavilion researved for us so set up in the shade and get to fighting.

FROM RENO:

Coming down I-95 south into the City look for the ‘Craig Rd’ exit. Take Craig Road West (right). Follow Craig Road until it ends on ‘Jensen street’ and right before you should be the park. Park in the middle where the large pavilion area is. There are plenty of tables under the pavilion researved for us so set up in the shade and get to fighting.

FROM UTAH:

Coming down I-15 South into the City, look for the I-215 exit. Take I-215 West (right) and follow it as it circles around the outskirts of the city. Look for the “Lone Mountain Road” exit. Take the Lone Mountain exit going East (left).

There are plenty of tables under the pavilion researved for us so set up in the shade and get to fighting.

Barad’dun of Las Vegas invites you all to FOOL’S RAID 2012
Who: Everyone that can make it.
What: Fool’s Raid! We host you Raid. The realm battle will be all realms vs Baraddun. Followed by a day of a lot of fighting.
Where: 4445 North Jensen, Las Vegas, NV 89129. Field B.

When: April 28 and 29th, 2012
Weapons check: 10am ends at 11am. Fighting goes until 5 or 6 pm. Wash and Repeat for day 2.
We will be using the DAGORHIR Manual of Arms.
Troll: Fool’s Raid is a free event! There will be no feast.

The Fools’ Raid is not really a two day event, but since people are driving a long distance they wanted to fight a second day. Why not let the host city have Sunday fighting too… if they wish.

As for camping… THIS WILL NEVER BE A CAMPING EVENT NOR WILL WE EVER BE.
The Fools’ Raid is meant to let the hosting group show off their city and the rest of to do the tourist thing.

I get that people cannot always afford to stay at the Wynn but there are hotel rooms starting at 35.00.

Lets get the word out and have some fun on the Las Vegas Strip!

It's unusually HOT this time of year. We are in the first heat wave of the year and reaching temps in the upper 90's and its not even summer yet. So anyone planning on coming out to fight with us at fool's raid, dress for the heat and bring plenty of water.
