illinois?

Postby Voodoo » Tue May 08, 2012 7:41 am

In the upcoming events, are those really all that will be in Illinois? Or are there still more to be added? Cuz that's not a lot, lol.

Really think that this was meant to be post in GM and if wasn't it still needs to be moved there.

Um...where exactly are you looking? There are 3 (or 4, depending if you count WPO) major events per year held in IL, plus like half a dozen mini-events. Any other state gets like...maybe a 1/4th of an event on average, because most states don't hold events. Illinois is the Mecca of Eastern Belegarth. So seriously, what the crap are you talking about dude?

As tempting as that is, I won't be the one to do it.

I looked at the belegarth event listing. And the event forum isn't a place to put a post asking about events in Illinois?

Okay, if you mean here, I'll count them for you:

Wolfpack Opener, Muxovia Mayhem, Spring Wars, Armageddon, BearBlast, Kill, Grill & Chill (which Dunharrow hosts), Numenor Opener, Oktoberfest & Thor's War. That's 9. And I know there are more mini-events than that which aren't even listed. Now I'll add up how many events there are per state for all the other ones:

Idaho=7
Utah=3
California=2
Tennessee=2
Wisconsin=2
Georgia=1
Indiana=1
Iowa=1 (not happening this year)
Michigan=1 (not happening this year)
Minnesota=1 (probably not happening either)
Montana=1
North Carolina=1
Ohio=1
Oregon=1

And given that the only other states you could feasibly travel to hold maybe 1-2 events per year, let me repeat: you live in the MECCA of Belegarth. Please stop complaining about how there aren't enough events in Illinois. Everyone else will laugh at you for saying such a thing.
And the event forum isn't a place to put a post asking about events in Illinois?

No, it is. Zeldrine wanted to feed you to the trolls in GM. Which I don't entirely blame him for, but I thought it'd be nicer if I just lay things out for you as simply as I can. I'm guessing that your statement stems from a noob-ish thirst for events, and if so, that's great. But one huge event every couple months is plenty, trust me.

Thanks Galya for objectively proving that Illinois is the best Belegarth state in the union. :D

Some of what u listed aren't on that page. Where can I find the rest of them by chance?

I understand making that mistake, and you'd be right if it weren't for the fact that most of those events reoccur every year. That list is also not updated very often. I think I'm the only one that updates it anymore, and I haven't in a while. I assure you, the major events (SW, Geddon & Fest) will be happening this year. They're too big to not be.

Um...yes they are? The links may be broken or outdated, but they're listed. Some events you won't hear about until a month beforehand. Are you looking for something specific, or do you just want to know information for every single event in IL this year?

The only ones that currently have information posted are Spring Wars, which is this coming weekend, and Armageddon, which is June 6-10. Information here. KG&C won't be discussed until much closer to August, and no one's quite sure what's going on with 'Fest at the moment. That's all there is.

If you mean Snowball, then yes it will happen. Snowball always happens. We did post about it last year but it never got updated I guess. We just don't have dates for it yet.

I was under the impression that the realm up there has gone Dag, so I didn't think the event existed anymore.

The event is not run by the realm from Minneapolis/St Paul, which yes did go dag, but its run by The Northern Alliance, which is a group of 9 bele realms and 1 dag realm in the area(Northern WI, MN, MI, and Ontario).
