ATTENTION Octoberfest:

We have moved from SHP to Comlara Park (13001 Recreation Area Drive, Hudson, IL 61748).

Again, Numenor will be hosting Octoberfest 2012. All information is subject to change, updates will arrive with more details between now and the event.

Dates: October 3rd-7th, 2012
Location: Comlara Park, 13001 Recreation Area Drive, Hudson, IL 61748
Prices: $30 if you pre-register by September 30th. At the gate, $35 on Wednesday and Thursday, $25 on Friday, and $15 on Saturday (any Day-tripper who checks out before Saturday Feast may receive a nice surprise). Prices change Friday and Saturday at 8am. Also, we accept cash only (at the gate).

Prereg: Will be up until 9/30 on the Forged Foam website. Check Mistie's post below for direct links.

For any group having a public trial or test, please keep them to Thursday and Friday outside of the hours of 12 - 4pm.

Garb Rules for Fest:

T-shirts
T-shirts must be worn underneath either a tabard or full torso armor. White and brightly colored t-shirts are not acceptable unless they fit into your garb/armor motif (i.e., a white T-shirt under Guts' white armor). Otherwise, t-shirts must be neutral in colors (black, brown, olive, navy) and without symbols, graphics, lettering, etc. UA, A-cut shirts ("wife beaters") and tank tops will be treated like t-shirts.

Armor
Armor does not count as garb unless it fully covers the torso. As such, a t-shirt and pauldrons does not qualify as full garb.

Pants
Jeans, camo pants, and cargo pants will not be allowed on the field. Further, sweats must be neutral colored and monochromatic unless it fits your garb motif. Track pants and shorts are debatable unless they are worn underneath a piece of passing garb (e.g., underneath a kilt or hakama).

To clarify:

Acceptable (Minimums)
Neutral t-shirt and tabard
T-shirt and full torso armor
No shirt (for men), Sports bra (women)
Tabard with no shirt (for men), Tabard with Sports bra (women)

Unacceptable
T-shirt
Neutral t-shirt and less-than-full torso armor
Jeans, camo pants, or cargo pants

For blatant infractions, heralds will remove people from the field. For debatable items, the heralds will confer as a group and decide whether or not your garb is sufficient. Any fighter removed for a garb infraction may return to fighting after changing into better garb and speaking with the herald that removed them.

What's the plan on arrival time for fest? Looking at potentially taking a travel day before and after, but I don't know as that will be necessary, the drive isn't too atrocious.

I think the sites have always been available for reservation. But only after 10+ pre-registered. As most Bele folk are creatures of habit, I believe everyone just camps where they have been; new groups are wildcards, but how often do we have entirely new groups show up without a camping plan?

Wording is a bit vague: If someone pre-reges for 10 people they can request a campsite? Or you mean once a unit/realm has 10+ pre-reges they can participate in a land-grab / message you/someone else about getting a site? Either way, I'm not in charge of anything, but want to make sure we have our bases covered!

Typically once you have 10+ people willing to camp together you are able to request any campsite. That said, through deals with the park over the past few years, several groups have made significant volunteer contributions to a specific campsite in return for an ongoing reservation.

I am sure that I am incomplete in this list, but I know that House Dregoth, Clan of the Hyrda, and House Hellhammer are three such groups.

Edit: Here is the best map I can find still accessible. It doesn't break down campsites, but I know such a map has been posted in the past. Near as I can tell, Dregoth is in the L10/K10 area, Hydra in H6 and a bit of I6 and HH in H6.

You have always been able to reserve a campsite with 10+ people pre-regestering. Yes, there is a map that shows the "marked out" sites. As soon as there is a group that has enough or I have some free time (whichever happens first), I'll post it.

this is also why we ask for a realm/unit in your info...so we can track group size. I post a list of those able to reserve as the are able to do so. Hope that helps. Feel free to pm me if you have any further questions about pre-reg.

Before I discuss the rules and how they will be enforced, allow me to say this: USE COMMON SENSE, DON'T ABUSE THE RULES. If you feel the B.o.W. needs changes, bring that up to the War Council so that loopholes can be fixed in the future. If you're not sure about something, ask: if you need to post pics of your garb to ensure it'll pass, please do so and I will gladly evaluate it.

Without further ado...

I am wondering if there is a way to confirm my Okfest registration?
My story is that I cant find confirmation and am not sure my effort at registration worked, NOT that I cannot remember if I registered or not no matter what Barley may tell you about my advanced age and memory.

Yup we both camp in J10, you guys normally camp under the willow, which is right across from our tree cove, both in J10! We like our camp its nice. We get plenty of visitors, i think its the Canada thing though.

We are asking that you sign up by September 30th 2012 either by commenting on this post on the facebook event page found here (http://www.facebook.com/events/49744193 ... mall_reply) or by messaging me here on the boards...with you fighter name, your realm name, what day your arriving and what you want to make.

You are responsible for being everything you need for your project with you. If you have questions on what you need, ask one of us. We will be doing 20 min sessions with you.

We want to know ahead of time so we can make sure the person most well suited to your project is who you get scheduled with. The sessions will be happening in the morning, before the opening of the field. So please start with the signing up.

Yes we are ursyne lol and deffinatley been more than two for the last couple of years.

And We have been at J10. Geddon we were there we had 10. We had our camp raided by multiple people durring assassin games. Springwars we had 6 and we camped there. okfest last year we sadly missed, geddon 7, before that we camped linked up with khador under the willow because they beat us there and it flooded that night while we were still over there, springwars before we had 6 okfest before we had 3 and still camped there.

Like i said i know where we camped its j10 it is directly across from the willow you walk in there is a path directly on the left hand side to go over a to a concealed campsite which has a path to the next one. To the right you have the fire pit 2 openings and you have 2 trees in the middle.

I know we are a Small Realm made up of a younger group and we have only been around for about 4 years but we have been pretty consistant.

looking at the map more to specify because your right the willow is there as well. The campsite is pretty much the 0 in j10 possibly what your calling your tree cove not sure though its just kind of a dome in the woods not in anybodys way

Bloody hell! I paid Dekalb for my food permit...95.00 not refundable. you have to pay 30 days in advance. Hope Mclean County lets me pay this late. They are only 5 days and I am waiting to hear from them.

Everyone, the Event Coordinators have compiled a list of basic site rules, some info on Security, and a list of possible behavioral infractions and how they will be dealt with. These are subject to change and it's likely, as we flesh out more information, that the list will change as we get closer to the event. One item I wish to discuss here is the alcohol policy. Numerous public parks (some of which we have used in the past) all have an "Alcohol is Prohibited" Policy; this site is no different. Wgoeken, upon arrival you must stop by Troll (Registration). There you will sign a waiver and pay the event fee. Depending upon when you arrive, the fee will be $35 or less. We accept cash only.
