So, I will be running Yestare 13 for the last time. I am unsure on the dates as of now because my wife is due with our second child April 29th. I would love to have it before she is due, but I would hate to run into Fool's Raid/Thaw Brawl/any other event. If it has to be in May, I might now be there for the whole weekend, but will be there to do delegation etc. Will update with dates as more info is gathered.

Edit: Shooting to be the first weekend in April. Might be chilly, but will be fun. Works best for my situation and gets back to the roots of Yestare.

Update: Crystal Hot Springs is the site again. I talked to them and they are happy to have us back. Apparently, they don't hate us yet. Haha.

I have given the event to ED Council. Complications with the pregnancy have made this near impossible for me to run.

Looks to be a cold Yestare! But, pack warm, and come kill some people.

We should be able to make it but this is the weekend before mine and Sluj's wedding so I cant make any promises at this point. It will extremely hard to get the time off work for both. But we can try.

That is totally understandable! Think of it as a honeymoon! hahah, just kidding.

I actually found this thread while looking for dates for Thaw to make sure the wedding didnt fall on the weekend as its usually in April lol.

Alright, so, my wife is going to do the meal plan again. However, we are wanting to know if there is any improvements that you would like to see? The cost for the meal plan is going to be a bit higher, as we took a loss on it.

Also, any suggestions in general would be great.

More or less, she would take a few eggs in a ziplock baggie, add ingredients, then place in boiling water for a little bit of time. It would cook everything inside the bag and boom shaka locka, Omelet!

If its this early in Thaw I doubt I'll be able to make it. That is probably going to be the weekend of the 12th.

Such is life. I didn't think you guys did it in April.

I will - fate willing - be hosting the Third Annual Yestare Bardic Contest on Saturday night at the Main Fire, so everyone bring your songs and lutes!

In the past years, the prizes have been: a wooden flute emblazoned with the Yestare Tree, and a Jiambay (sp?) wooden drum. Hopefully this year will be even cooler.

So come one, come all and revel in wine and song as we sing of deeds both great and terrible!

Work has decided to send me to Las Vegas for this entire week. Sucks that I will be missing this event!

Getting sick when you're supposed to work sucks. Early April is prime cold/flu season. Hope you take your vitamins so you don't get sick.

I'm asking for two reasons. One, I may see if I can convince my fellow NorCal folks to make the trip. Second, we host an event in April/May and I want to make sure there's no conflict with Yestare.

Yeah, we are sticking with dates. There is conflict with other events, but not much we can do about it at this point. Crystal Hot Springs is set and ready to go.

This happens to land on the day after my birthday, so i might have a bunch of new people coming with me.
They're all very excited to get their fight on, and hopefully I will have a new weapon by then too

Yestare will be returning to May. Will update as details get hammered out.

Yestare XIII will now be held the weekend of May 10th, at Crystal Hot Springs.

You should make a new post or edit the dates on this original to prevent confusion.

Can we get some more info on this event? I've got a half dozen people who want to attend, and I'd love some more detail besides dates and a place to provide. Please and thank you!

Troll for Yestare will open at noon on Friday. We are currently finding out if we can show up earlier than that, and I'll update as we find out.

We will have feast on Saturday Night, around 6pm. Cleanup and go home Sunday.

Many thanks to everyone who showed up. There was some good fighting, and good times were had. I'd especially like to thank Trinity, Garyn and Lisa Arianna, and everyone who volunteered and made my life easier.
