SamHain X: October 4-6

Dunno why this wasn't put up already, but whatever I suppose.

SAMHAIN X!! It IS happening this year, I know a few people from other realms have dropped me messages in inquiry. So here's the information. We also have a facebook page located: here

When : Friday, October 4, 2013 through Sunday, October 6, 2013
Where: Crystal Hot Springs [Honeyville, Utah]
Troll: $15.00 Bring a few extra bucks if you wish to use the springs & water slides.

~*Schedule*~
Friday:
Noon - Troll Opens
All Day - Unpacking, set up, pick up battles.
Night - Whatever it is you do!

Saturday:
9 AM to 10 AM - Weapons check.
10:30 AM to Noon - Fighting
1 PM to 5:30 PM - Fighting
6 PM to Whenever - Feast
7 PM to 8ish PM - Wedding
8 PM - Bardic Begins.

Sunday:
Pack up and go home!



The feast will be comprised of fried chicken, as usual, along with the chance of some cake. There will also be a "Monster Lunch" hosted by Jubai - bring any food item to donate Saturday, it'll be a potluck deal.


Sorry for the late notice, I think we got a number of you added to the facebook event. I hope to see some familiar faces! Hopefully next year it won't run the same weekend as Oktoberfest. Apologies for that!

I just need to comment about the name of this event. You have posted it as SamHain which implies you pronounce it "sam-hain" with a long a. But you seem to missed the point that "mh" is a single consonant the same as sh, ch, th, and gh. All of these consonants the English language inherited from Gaelic. In the case of mh it makes a "v" sound. So I have been pronouncing this word "saw-ven" More precisely: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Samhain

Forkbeard has run this event most years, and he insists on saying "Sam-hayn." :P Sorry if it peevs you, but that's the way it goes sometimes. there are also those that argue it's pronounced "Sow-wen".
