Registration is open

What: Sword Knight Boot Camp
Where: Camp Williams in Salt Lake City, UT
When: August 28-31
Who: All medieval combat fighters looking to improve their game
Why: Learn new combat skills and improve existing combat skills
Cost: TBA. Likely about $25-30 This will include all meals

SKBC is an opportunity to attend a weekend event that is solely focused on martial skill and technique.
Friday and Saturday will be broken up into a number of classes ranging from things like body mechanics, single sword, sword and board, pole arm etc. There will be dedicated time to practice and apply these new skills.

It does not matter what kind of sword fighting game you participate in, or what your skill level is. This is all about learning and improving your technique. Classes will be offered for the rank newbie and the skilled vet alike. This is an epic opportunity for our region as SKBC will not be in this vicinity again for a while. Take advantage of this unique chance to learn and become a better fighter.

This will take place on a military base so there are bunks, showers, bathrooms and dining facility.
Be sure to bring your valid non expired government issued ID as they will ask for it upon entrance to the base.

There will be an SKBC site set up with class schedules and sign up rosters. It is a * good idea to be prompt in your enrollment as some classes/instructors are very popular and they can fill up fast.

More information will be made available as things progress.

Bring your good attitudes, desire to learn and let’s make this a kick * event.

Can I just show up as a "walk-in"? I'd still pay the event fee of course.

I would like to think within the next couple weeks.
As soon as I know I will post it here.

Agreed I am getting very stoked about the Bel participation in SKBC. It should be epic.

Ok Folks we have some preliminary information up on the website.
http://www.swordknight.com/2014/

Currently there is a list of instructors, and class list and class descriptions.
Registration does not appear to be up yet. I strongly suggest you keep an eye on this site so that you can get registered and signed up for the classes you are interested in once it goes live.

As I get more information I will be certain to post it here.

There is also a SKBC 2014 Facebook page. Content is slim at this point but I presume this will change as we get the registration live.

Looking forward to seeing you become one of the faithful.

Loptr,

Along the same lines, do you know if the MPs will be checking for expired registration stickers on plates? I know that was an issue at Battle for the Ring this year where the rangers wouldn't allow cars on site with expired license plates.

I have no idea and will try to get an answer to this inquiry.
When we have visited the camp there was not any type vehicle inspection review.
