I was just wondering.....

I know it is illegal to knock arrows out of the air because they would be way too fast to block with a weapon; Correct?

Does this apply to all missile weapons or just arrows?

So can I knock a javilen out of the air since (theorecticaly) it wouldn't be going that fast?

Rocks too?

You can do anything you want to a rock or javelin, catch it, block it, parry it, whatever. Be careful with javelins, because parrying them has a tendency to just spin them around and clonk someone in the head with the haft.

... which is also the real main reason why you can never parry an arrow. If you do, it will start spinning, and someone's at least as likely to get hit with the nock as the head, which is really not so much a good thing.

i caught a javelin between my two blue swords one time at a practice and managed to swing the javelin to face the other way and toss it to a teammate who was able to spear the guy who threw it at me while the entire time i never actually touched the javelin and it never touched the ground-

Back-Strap Shield

I agree..backstrap shields help alot. Whether it be round, coffin, or my favorite, the dome shield.
