types of games?

Postby Fjormaen » Sat Mar 18, 2006 9:39 pm

I've got a large chunk of my coworkers into fighting during friday lunches, but I was looking for ideas for different games to mix things up. I have never played with a reasonable sized realm before, so I don't have any sort of experience with some of the scenarios that normally get played.

So far, we do either free for alls or big team battles, and also have had some bridge battles, and a few fights where we had to kill the "general" on each side who was only allowed to use a dagger. I also want to at some point have a small group of the best fighters using the best gear fight off a much larger force of players with only 1 handed weapons.

A friend of mine recomended valhala and ettins which I plan to try in the future, but does anyone else have any ideas for a group of a little over 12 people?

Here's a link to a short list of different games (and variations of not so different ones) to help get you started.

Good Luck!

Try Vampire.
They are always fun.

It is a variant of a free for all.

Start as a free for all.
Fighter A is killed by Fighter B.
Fighter B kills Fighter C.
Fighter B is killed. Fighters A and C rez.
Fighter B's killer is killed.
Fighter B is rezed.
It ends so that one person must kill the whole field.

If you don't get it, pm me and i'll explain it better.

You can also have King battles, team battles, single blue fights, champion circle, kill the killer, castle battles(these work best with a lot of people), make something up.

Or you can have tournements for different styles such as sword or mace, flails, blue and shield, flourintine, or a spear battle, javelin fights,

Whatever you want to do

I would definately say that kill your killer is one of the best games just because you can make it last for a nice amount of time and it is really good practice.....
