this is a highly-debated issue, there is nothing, however, in the rules that would make a double-ended javelin

Dagganoth- your words just kind of end.

as it stands there is no room for double ended javs in the BoW. The only double ended weapons are quarterstaves.

it spacifically NAMES quarterstaves, but it doesnt say it can ONLY be quarterstaves

Quarter staves are the ONLY double ended weapons in Belegarth......You are not a rules board person....do not be answering questions regarding the rules when you have only been here a little over a week and a half.

too true. i've only been on th boards and interested in belegarth for about 6 or 7 months, but i've read the BoW so many times over to know how to answer some REALLY simple questions that relate to it, but people who suddenly appear and think they know everything annoy everyone.

nah, the other half's english, and western european, but trained as an assasin/ninja by an ancient elf ninja who traveled the globe researching dfferent fighting styles and stealing fighting techniques and battle plans.
as for garb.... im working on it, black leather, light, flexable, something fast :angel:

elf ninja = not possible

Elves are very adoring of all living things (natural ones anyways). They do not like to fight and they will only if they have to.

A ninja's job is basically to get paid to go out and kill people in their sleep (some othe reconassaince (sp?) things, but mostly killing).

Therefore, a person (elves are people too) who does not like to fight or kill living things, cannot have an occupation in which that is one of the required skills.

That'd be nice, but sorry, no dice.

However, a drow ninja, that might be possible...

Ninjas are not just out for hire, that's a misconception. They often served under their lord to damage the enemies army. Basically a modern secret agent, I'm not historian and they did kill people in their sleep...

I agree, I don't believe an Elf of any kind could be an Assassin or Ninja, it's not impossible, just doubtful. I'm not here to dissuade you, so go do whatever you want.

But, like Melannen said, possibly a Drow!

Maybe I should do the drow ninja thing for Chaos Wars, just to annoy graavish. That would be fun.

Graavish was one of the first people to make a big deal out of this elven ninja thing when I brought it up.

Getting into your character can do lots for some people and none for the next, whenever I do, my morale shoots through the roof and I want to fight, other times I'm out there just to be a meat shield. I'm ready to charge and die when I'm painted purple with black markings on my face, plus it's fun to see people's reactions!

Gives the game a more Medieval/Fantasy feel, as well as making you look crazy.

Yeah, I don't really know what the role-playing philosophy is actually meant for, but I know it's all for fun, if anything.
