Define the grappling terms

I'm reading over the grappling rules and I noticed that there are no throws or joint locks allowed. I having wrestled have a very tight defintion of what a throw is. With joint holds I was wondering if I can do things like arm bars (putting their arm behind their back and lifting up to the center of the back) and or tree topping (lifting their leg until they fall over backwards), as they work only due to limitations of the joints.

I was also wondering about strikes. While obviously no punching or snap kicks, would it be allowed to push with your feet (thrust kick) or an open palm strike (feels like a push, but very forceful)? Thanks for the imput!
