Louisville KY fighter looking

Postby persev » Wed Aug 10, 2011 10:20 am

Hello Im very new to this so appologies in advance. I am looking for information on a group that is not so much LARP but more melee war i have a friend in New York who fights Dagorhir. Im looking for anything in affordable driving distance from Louisville Ky, or based in Louisville with same or semilar rules and mythos.
Any information would be greatly appreciated at this point. Thank you in advance.

Welcome. You're looking for the realm of Dun Abhon. I'm not sure how active they are anymore, but try contacting Cailte McDonough for accurate info.
Good luck! :)

I'm also new and in the Louisville area. I've been wanting to get involved in this ever since the newspaper did an article on it, just can't seem to find anyone in the area.

I'm pretty sure all the conversations and whatnot goes down on their Facebook these days.

Check it out, if not contact Cailte or Dagganoth, I'm sure either can point you in the right direction.

The Belegarth people have a facebook page Belegarth Louisville. They still get together and fight at Cherokee Park at 3 PM near the fountain. No one shows up when the weather is bad but when it gets nice people should start showing up again. the best way to find out what is going on with them is on facebook though.

I just wanted to do an update to this just in case anyone new is in the Louisville area. The location of our fighting has changed a little. It is still held at 3PM Sunday at Cherokee park, but we moved to a different field. We are now fighting on the Frisbee Field which has more room and better parking. Due to our growing numbers parking was becoming a problem at the fountain field. For more information about our group we converse regularly on our Facebook page just type in Louisville Belegarth on Facebook. For tips, , strategies, instructional articles, news, a calendar of events, humor, and entertaining tales we now have a newsletter for our realm, The Dun Abhon Guardian.

I did an interview with Angel the leader of Dur Demarion while I was at equinox last year that some of the readers on here might be interested in seeing.
