Are there any units or realms based off of the adeptus astartes (Space Marines)?
I know what era they are from but they can be converted into hulking knights soooo just wondering.

This is totally not a rules question.

This IS a rules question. You're not allowed to have a unit that has anything to do with space. **** your dreams and enthusiasm.

Who **** in your cheerios, dude?
Oh...wait, you've explained.

Anyway, there's nothing expressly prohibiting you from making a unit based around the Adeptus Astartes (Brotherhood of the Falcon uses a lot of the imagery), but be sure to translate it properly to a fantasy setting. I'd much rather see a unit based around a bunch of Bretonnian Questing Knights.

Obviously ironic.

I wanna be a Space Marine. As such, we strive to structure our hierarchy towards that of an Astartes Chapter. However...I don't think Space Marines get drunk and puke in a friend's boots.

Just sayin.

You absolutely can be a space marine.

You simply have to be a space marine that crash landed on planet Belegarth and lost all of his power armor, and futuristic weapons.

Cheese somehow gets away with being a Dark Jedi, there is no reason you can't be a space marine.

Thats because you dress up like a short Darth Vader, and originally were serious about it.

A space marine is far less iconic, and far more translatable to a medieval counterpart since one already exists.

Just replace the power armor with large styled leather or steel armor, and replace the guns and chainsword with swords, shields, and red weapons.

Also, to add from Druss, we don't really "look" like space marines. We just take the way the do things and some of their tradtions and apply them in Belegarth. It works pretty well. Altough, we are gonna get some chaplain helmets that are going to be sick.

thanks all just wondering, and i wanted to make armor based off of them OBVIOUSLY NOT SPACEMARINE for all you jack*** who think i'm going straight for power armor and guns. This is belegarth and i do think an ultramarine can look more medeival than a um...stormtrooper/jedi/sith/droid/starwars...etc examples Grey knights, the ultramarines Honour Guard, Chaplains, just take away guns.

Quick tip. Don't pick internet fights with the people on this board. Like calling them jack asses. They pretty much start off hating all people. As for making it look medieval, that's awesome. It's really hard to accomplish the size ratio like an Astartes, but it's pretty easy to mimic the whole monk/knight thing.

dude, i'll fight with cheesy any day. i personally love his darth outfit. and yeah, he had to fight for any modicum of acceptance in that. props.

as too the question: to reiterate, as long as it is fantasy/medieval-afied it can come from wherever. "crash landed on planet belegarth" was a great descriptor. But as with anything different from the norm, if you're gonna do it, do it right.

Go with a crusader kit, then instead of templar or hospitaller, etc... do it up with you favorite chapter's heraldry.
