There are some places that have banned them, however. I assume that if the realm hosting the event wanted rocks to be banned, they could be for that event, but have not experienced this. Certain realms use "house rules" on the field during practices, generally designed in the spirit of making their fighters better. Arnor, for example, does not allow rocks at all at practices.
