Deciding colors for a new realm

Postby Voodoo » Sat Dec 08, 2012 5:27 pm

Greetings, me and a few friends are establishing a new realm in our home town. Only problem is, we dont know what colors we can and cant use, we dont want to clash with other realms. How do i know what color combination is not in use, or does it matter at all? :spear: :spear: :knight: :spear: :spear:

Avoid Red/Black,because so many realms use it that it hurts. If you use a color combo you like (Irecommend a three color scheme) and an original emblem, you should be fine.

Good to know, im trying to avoid common color schemes. Another question, once we descided on an emblem can we put it on our garb shirts or do we need to out it on a tabbard? Or can it go pretty much anywhere? :ninja:

However you want to do it. A lot of realms do belt flags, but it isn't necessary.

The thing about color schemes is that all the decent ones have been used and reused. Pick one you like, and don't worry about it.

I was thinking white, salmon, and cyan. Someone else uses that?

oooh, the salmon and cyan would be a very complimentary counterpoint. The white will add a bit of starkness to it, you might be better served with a nice earth tone ie tan tho... It's up to you, tho, obviously!

It's a Chinese color scheme.

Most people would be surprised with how bright clothing from Europe and Asia during the Middle Ages was. Like particolored hose that was half cyan and half maroon.

Blinding, skin-tight, partially transparent hose is actually quite period.
Ick.
